Thx for this video. FYI stay close to your machine during stitch out. There could be an issue with tension or anything. This machine and Babylock Flourish II will give messages with an error message. I really like the user friendliness of these machines. Happy stitching.
I bought my baby lock verve and vibrant serger and You are so right I wish I knew this before buying my babylock verve I love it but I didn’t realize it only came with a 4x4 hoop ugh now I’m looking for a embroidery machine only with a bigger hoop thank you for a wonderful demonstration.
I was going to get Brother Se600 but I saw Babylock Verve which was more expensive version of it. I called the dealers around my area but because of covid shipping not available till April or May. One dealer's technician said don't buy the Brother SE600 because of the 4x4 hoop. After watching a few video people who have 4x4 as their first embroidery machine did regret getting small hoop. Originally was going for next hoop size machine which is 5x7 like Brother SE1900 now I am going to straight to this to save headaches since I believe extra $200 to $300
Great video. I have been looking at machine and by accident saw this machine. I looked into and think this is the machine I need. This video helped a lot with my decision.
Just bought this embroidery machine. This video was so helpful. I haven't used it and a little nervous, but excited to get started. I have been making mask and I'm hoping to embroider them.
Hi! I love your video, but I would like to know if you can resize the entire image like if you make a heart with the name inside can you grab both and make it bigger or smaller? How do you do that? How do you select everything?
Jenn, (Is Jenn correct?) I bought a Brother RSQ9285 (refurbed) SQ9285 to keep busy in my retirement. While looking around TH-cam for sewing videos I encountered Embroidery and am seriously looking at the SE1900, but your video on the NQ1600E has entered the arena!! Is the NQ1600E going to offer me enough more capability to warrant the extra $$? Also, you mention you have instuctional courses? Could your courses help a Septuagenarian learn how to make a few things for family and friends?
I just bought this machine. Tonight I used it for the 2nd time. It kept shredding the thread. It would make a noise then the thread would start shredding. I went to rethread the machine and at the top on #4 there was something white and I couldn't thread. Could you help me?
There is only a USB port on the NQ1600. If you have a card reader attached to your home computer, you could transfer to a USB stick and then to the machine. If you're not a computer person, you might have a friend put them on a USB for you.
As the machine embroiders, when you’re talking about stabilizers, you seem to be keeping a hand on the embroidery field. I’m new to this-is that necessary? Does it help with something?
I LOVE THIS VIDEO. Honest, down to Earth. I have been looking at bigger embroidery machines for years. Get this - I have a PE-150 4x4!!!!! I could do SO MUCH MORE. Question - are there any concerns about thread tension? I know PE770 & PE800 are reported to have this issue. Any feedback is appreciated!!!
I have this machine and I'm running into an issue. Can you do free motion stippling with it? I have an applique design that will be a quilted wall hanging. While I could quilt it first and then do the applique, it won't show on the back. I would have to do stitch in the ditch around 2 6x6 blocks. I'm trying to figure out if it would work with my machine.
I have hundreds of $$$ in the old style media cards with PES embroidery designs. Will I be able to use those in this machine? How about the snap on hoops from previous machines?
It gave an idea of what the machine could do but it would have been nice to see the sewing area as it was stitching. Too much viewing from the back of the machine.
How much is this machine? I’m in the market for an embroidery machine right now but my rep with SMP isn’t responding to my questions...so thanks for any help! Also, those classes you mentioned...are they free online or at the dealer? I’d appreciate any help please!
I’m having a hard time getting soft ware..for my 1600e...and was also wondering...do you have to by the software with Appliqué? I order to do appliqué?.
My local embroidery shop is trying to sell me the Brother NQ1600E and tells me it's better to buy from them since they get it directly from the manufacturer instead of buying it online (amazon or walmart) since those are made of plastic pieces instead of metal good quality parts like the ones they have. What do you know about this?
That is how they sell them cheaper. Have brought a machine home and had the stitch selector break off. Similar issues with their junk. Won't even go through their doors anymore.
I have just purchased this machine and my question is can this machine use a 8x8 hoop, or is it just 6" wide only, seems it could do the 8x8, any one know or have they tried?
I searched authorized Brother dealers to find mine. I called the dealer and they shipped in to me free. It was $1499 plus tax. Every dealer had it for the same price.
LaChelle1962 I'm pretty sure this is an embroidery only machine, so no, one wouldn't be able to make any masks with this machine although Brother does have a lot of other machines that sew and embroider
Yes, several digitizers have created "mask designs" that you can purchase (several like OAD have free ones) that you can make "in the hoop". A 5x7 will only fit a small child, but a 6x10 will fit the average adult.
I asked my Brother dealer if he could match your $1499 price. He tells me that it is illegal to buy this machine on-line. Could you tell me what is the truth? I see a lot of these machines for sale on-line. Thank you
For a “demonstration” video, whoever is holding the camera is pretty sorry. How can you possibly see the machine screen so far away? Why is it not being zoomed in? BOO! 2 thumbs down!
Just bought this machine and finally found a good video. She is a great teacher. Makes learning a joy!

My pressure foot lever does not go up and down like you just did. I have to use the button. I was told it was normal. I LOVE this machine!
Just bought this embroidery machine. This video was so helpful. I haven't used it and a little nervous, but excited to get started. I have been making mask and I'm hoping to embroider them.
Ordered this machine the end of December. Hoping it will be here in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for the videos!
I just ordered this machine from my local store and I am so excited to start!
Yes I can do digitizing for you
Thanks for sharing. Very hard to see what your actually doing on the machine
I ordered mine, so excited 🧵✂️

I have hoop envy!!! That’s why I’m looking at your video to upgrade!! 😂
Can one use this machine to make disney designs?
What a great video! Thank you 😊
does this machine beep or let you know when the bobbin is running low, needle breaks, thread breaks, etc?
I just bought this machine. Tonight I used it for the 2nd time. It kept shredding the thread. It would make a noise then the thread would start shredding. I went to rethread the machine and at the top on #4 there was something white and I couldn't thread. Could you help me?
I'm having the same problem! Were you able to resolve?
I'm watching this video years after made so I'm sure there's no sale. But will there will be a black Friday sale ?
Can you free motion quilt on this machine?
I can’t find any other videos on your website or the classes you mention?
Hi Jenn , I have the NQ1400E which came with the 6x10 hoop, what’s the difference between the 1400e and 1600e?????
What a great machine! Will I be able to use my brother embroidery cards which I purchased years ago on this one?
There is only a USB port on the NQ1600. If you have a card reader attached to your home computer, you could transfer to a USB stick and then to the machine. If you're not a computer person, you might have a friend put them on a USB for you.
Very well explained! Thanks!
Is there a machine like this by Brother that also does regular sewing?
As the machine embroiders, when you’re talking about stabilizers, you seem to be keeping a hand on the embroidery field. I’m new to this-is that necessary? Does it help with something?
Can u do a video on Threading this machine.?

You don’t need an end cap on the thread ?
How do yhou set it on your machine to cut the thread automatically? Jump stitiches

Can I do camouflage
I have hundreds of $$$ in the old style media cards with PES embroidery designs. Will I be able to use those in this machine? How about the snap on hoops from previous machines?
Is this better than the jenome 509e ?
Is there any tutorials on how to use machine
Does it have slot on side for emb. cards?
What is the largest size hoop that can be used with the 1600 embroidery machine?
It gave an idea of what the machine could do but it would have been nice to see the sewing area as it was stitching. Too much viewing from the back of the machine.
You guys making masks is really great. Thank you.
Is that the largest hoop this machine works with?
How much is this machine? I’m in the market for an embroidery machine right now but my rep with SMP isn’t responding to my questions...so thanks for any help! Also, those classes you mentioned...are they free online or at the dealer? I’d appreciate any help please!
I wonder how does this Brother compares to the BabyLock Flourish 2
Those models are very similar. The Flourish II has 5x7 and 6x10 hoops, and the display options are moreover the same.
How to order that machine?can I buy that by installment basis?
Will the SABF6000D hoop work with this machine. Brother USA said yes, but I can find nothing on line about how to use it with this machine.
Thanks,
LB
If this is a 6 x 6 hoop - yes
Can you change the measurements to inches?
Can you underline a word in your embroidery with this machine?
Hi ,can you do stippling on this machine , and can you do a video on it Thank You
Do you have a video on embroidering a shirt or a onsie
Hi . doest it have cross stitch embroidery?
How do you thread the upper and lower?
I’m having a hard time getting soft ware..for my 1600e...and was also wondering...do you have to by the software with Appliqué? I order to do appliqué?.

I need to ask a question of how to do something.who can I talk to
Do you still have this machine available?
I want one. What’s your website
I just subcribed
I would like more info about the zipper insertion, please!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Great video, very informative. My machine is on order and can't wait to get started.
I have just purchased this machine and my question is can this machine use a 8x8 hoop, or is it just 6" wide only, seems it could do the 8x8, any one know or have they tried?
Maximum hoop size is 6 x 10. Cannot use an 8 x 8 hoop on this machine
How much is this machine ?
NOT AVAILABLE or did i find it at your store AGAIN
I searched authorized Brother dealers to find mine. I called the dealer and they shipped in to me free. It was $1499 plus tax. Every dealer had it for the same price.
Do you sell this machine?
Why did you put stabilizer on the top verses underneath?
Water soluble stabilizer on top is essential to prevent thread (stitches) from sinking into the nap of fabric (towels, robes, etc)
Can you make a mask with that machine?
LaChelle1962 I'm pretty sure this is an embroidery only machine, so no, one wouldn't be able to make any masks with this machine although Brother does have a lot of other machines that sew and embroider
There are in-the-hoop mask designs you can make with an embroidery-only machine.

He was lying to you because he wants you to buy it from him. He is dishonest and I would refrain from doing business with him....
Do you not change the bobbin underneath?
There is a drop in bobbin case.
Yes but I think her question was more like why don’t she change it every time with the color. Well at least that is what I was wondering
Is the screen colored?
Yes
How much? I am sure I can’t afford it.
She said it’s on sale for $1500

Can you do ball caps on this machine?
Yes
Can you put in your own design from a USB drive
Yes. Please see the manual on how to save projects to the machine.
