    To be precise, three of GO's F40s still exist today. 511 is now a Leaser in the form of LTEX 411, 513 is now Amtrak NPCU 90413, and 515 is now Panama Canal 1861. The other three were scrapped. 514 aka Amtrak 414 was actually wrecked right around its final days.
    Also, about the 200-Series Bi-Level Cab Cars, there are more varieties of them than just Hawkers. There are the near-identical UTDCs built right after them, and the Bombardiers built in the 2000s and Early 2010s. Of course, their amazing K5LA horns (that all but the last few Bombardiers had) are what easily put those all in S Tier for me.

      Thanks for the info! Glad most of the 40s are still around somehow. Yeah, I didn't wanna make the video TOO too long so I kinda grouped most of the Bi Levels into one, lol

    Great to see another tier list! Thanks for the shout out towards the middle too. To your point about the F40 being overrated, they only lasted on GO for 10 years since their acceleration was considered too slow for commuter rail. GO 513 still exists as an Amtrak NPCU, and was also featured on the first episode of Alpha Omega: the series that I also made forever years ago and has the longest wait time between episodes because lol.

      No problem! Dang, didn't know that about them being too slow, hahaha

    The Hawker single level design came in 3 general flavours. One was a passenger only version. The next was a cab car. The final was a self-propelled coach and had controls at both ends. I don’t recall seeing them used as locomotives. As an aside, at the end of their existence the coaches vibrated so much that passengers could not read a newspaper or book once the train got to speed.

    The MP40s beat out the MP54s because they have sweeeet 710s that like to howl. MP54s sound like those annoyingly loud hand dryers in public washrooms and I am going to sue you

    honestly your low tiering of the MPXpress locos and CEM cab cars reeks of nostalgia goggles, please explain how an unmodified freight loco without an HEP generator (gp40-2w) is in any way superior to the most powerful passenger diesel locomotive in north america (mp54ac)

      I mean, hey, if you like the hideous, euro looking modern roster, that's totally cool, lol. 5400HP is impressive but I was mostly just going off (biased) looks, and they don't look good at all.

      5:28 I know that one of the GP40-2Ws is currently on the Great Western Railway of Colorado in Northern Colorado. It goes to Fort Collins, Greeley, and I think Longmont too.

  • @trainglen22
    @trainglen22 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Cab cars are not locomotives! The F7b were from Milwaukee, not GN/BN. One of the GP40-2W went to Tri-Rail with a ÀPCU.
