- -The long awaited med school move-in vlog is finally here!! I'm so excited to share my new journey with all of you and here's med school vlog 001😄
Fyi, I moved in earlier than the other year 1 students for a more condusive study environment. We are still having fully online classes so there's nothing much for me to show you huhu. But in this vlog, I'll show you around UKM Cheras campus and KTDI 2 to help you, my fellow batchmates, to better prepare yourselves before moving in. (p.s. you can refill water from surau or block B, remember to bring a floor mat, your own iron, iron board and kettle)
The journey from KTDI 2 to the pre-clinical block takes about 10 minutes. The libraries and hospitals are just at the surroundings. If you don't wanna eat at the KTDI cafeteria, you can always have your meal at the hospital's cafe. Other than that, there are many places you can go to such as Taman Tasik Permaisuri, MyTOWN and Taman Midah etc. Aiya, Cheras apa pun ada one lah, slowly learn about their bus system and MRT, and you can get to anywhere you want🥳
Many people would order ShopeeFood, GrabFood etc. It's very convenient but your money will fly la haha. Also, remember to bring a thick jacket because the library is freezing❄

Almost 2 months into med school and all I can say is, wow the workload is no kidding haha I'll do my best to keep this channel running. If I ever disappear for a while, I'm probably focusing on my exams hehe All the best to everyone! Especially those who are currently taking PSPM 1, you can do this!!💪💪

Hi. I wanna ask, your ukm cheras is the main campus or the main campus would be ukm bangi? Bcoz i wonder and got confusion. Idk where to continue my master later... can u explai the difference a bit?
Hi, yeah sure. UKM Bangi is the main campus. UKM Cheras is for the faculty of medicine (medic, nursing, emergency medicine), then UKM Kuala Lumpur is for dentistry, pharmacy all those. Got 3 campus in total:)

hi. may i know if it is still convenient for you to come to school if you live outside of the school campus? and are there any nearby subways that i can take?
Yes, there is a lrt station nearby, but u will need to take a grab to campus fr there, its not walking distance.
Convenient or not, it depends on how far u stay😂 but u would sort of miss out campus life and sometimes its hard for u to mix ard with ur friends for group discussion if u stay outside of campus. Hope that answers ur question:)

Is it true ..in ukm we learn,do exam n do projects in bm?
Not sure for other courses, but for the medical course, it's fully in english
@@QiWeiLim really..do you mean...the notes r in english , we do our exams in english,lecturers teach in english
@@rockthewaverickitoff549 yes. Written exams are all in English. But we have practical exams like OSCE where there will be role playing. During this, we would have to speak malay depending on the situation and simulated patient lah. Lecturers teach in English, but sometimes will campur2 when saying some casual sfuff (which is normal)

do they ask for spm result for medic course ?
It's ady in the system so they would know ur results. And yes, spm results would affect yr application. For more detailed explaination u can check out my vid on How to Get into Medical School ya
