I am a real big fan of the batteries I've been having really good luck with those in my EDS if the charger is half as good as the batteries I think they got a winner
Glad to see I'm not the only one who had (or, in your case, still has) "too many adapters...which also means too many batteries with different connectors. There was a time I had batteries & charging adapters with the following connector types: Deans, Traxxas, XT30, XT60, XT90, EC2, EC3, EC5, 6mm bullet, Castle 6.5mm, and 7mm bullet. That's 10 different adapter types for plugging into the XT60 on my charger. I got sick & tired of needing soooo many batteries, with too many different connector types needing all those adapters...not to mention countless times of misplacing charging adapter cables...that I decided I needed a "change". That was 2 years ago. While I still have some batteries needing their connectors changed, I have, for the greatest part, 'transitioned' down to only 3 connector types (XT60, EC2, and QS8), needing only 2 charging cables (EC2 & QS8). Additionally, I'm even thinking of getting rid of EC2, and switching back to XT30. To be completely honest, it doesn't matter if a person has 2 RCs, or 200 RCs...only 3 connector types should be needed - XT30 (or EC2/IC2 for those living in a Horizon Hobby world) for any 'small' scale (1/14 & smaller) RCs, QS8 for the 'large' scale (X-MAXX & larger) and high-power (ie. drag, speedrunning, SAW, etc) stuff, and XT60 for just about everything else. The only exception I can think of (since this also applies to me) is Mini-Z scale vehicles, which use a different charger, and already has (built-in) ports for all the common Mini-Z scale battery connectors.
Hahah yeah, I 100% agree with this. It’s just hard for me because I get so many RTRs and I really don’t want to change every battery and esc plug. I’ll likely pair down the stuff I use most over time.
@@TheShopMiniRC Understandable. That part of why it's taken me almost 2 years. My best "RC friends" during the transition was plug-in adapters, between ESC & battery. That way, any new RCs I got, I could keep the stock ESC connector longer, whole still using batteries with XT60 connectors.
I know it’s easier with the adapters but. Change all your connectors too Ec3s you all ready have most of all your cars Ec3 I’m changing all mine too just deans cause that’s what I prefer too run.
Eh.. I wouldn’t say most my cars are on ec3. More are on scx24 style plug, the losi micro plug and red jst plugs. I have over 200 cars. Adapters work for me. Lol
@@TheShopMiniRC hmmm even as a TH-camr there’s so many connectors I can hardly keep up with all of them now even back in high school when I really got in too Rc racing again that’s all anybody used was Deans now there’s so many don’t know the next one that comes out next lol there’s so many of them.
i mean, you can charge a battery in 2 min if the amperage is set too high. I would make sure you are setting your Amps to 2.2 amps. You should charge at .1 amps per 100 MAH. so a 3000mah battery would be about 3 amps. You can charge most batteries without issue just a little over. so your 2200 could be charged at 2.5 amps no problem (Maybe even 3), but I would NOT charge over 3 amps for your 2200 MAH battery
Hey man I have the same charger. was charging my batteries at the same time and now my charger screen will not turn back on . how can i fix the problem without buying a new one ?
moi j'ai ce chargeur le 700w depuis 2 mois il ne charge même pas les 2s 7.4v lipo pour ma voiture rc obligé de prendre mon chargeur de chez aliexpress très déçut

Yeah, they have been damn good for us.

@@GearWorksRc very true.
Can you do 1s a30 batteries with this charger? New to hobby and need an all-round charger
I don’t know what an a30 battery is, but yes, this can do 1s
I got the PRO and use it to charged my 3s 2200mah lipos and it charges the battery from nothing to full in around 5-10min... Is that too fast?

Thank you man, had it set at over 12 amps.
" .1 amps per 100 MAH" I'll wright that down, thanks again.
@ that will 100% damage your battery and could cause a fire. Definitely keep an eye on those amps.

Ooof. I have never seen that. I’d reach out to ovonic
Is this identical charger to the Ovonic X1 200W version with the only difference being that the Pro can go to 300W? Thanks
Yes.
No such thing as "TOO MANY"
Hahhaha says you…. Lmao

Odd. I’ve been using it for a while now and it’s awesome. I charge 2s all the way up to 6s and have no issues.
I wanna see what it does with an External AC to DC brick...
Hmmmm
