  • In this video I will teach you about SUPERGLOBALS in PHP, which are predefined build-in PHP functions, which we can access globally. 🙂 The reason I am covering these this early on, is because we will be using some of them in the upcoming lessons.

    I tried a few different php lessons and guides before that were either too slow or super fast, I think this one is the best I've found so far and woks with my daily schedule super super well. Thank you so much! I also love how you record them each day so you can see what people are confused with or talking about!! Keep up the amazing work!

    Thanks for another episode Dani! How deep will this course eventually go? Not too long ago I followed your php signup & login system tutorial, will this end up revisiting that kind of stuff, or is this more the basics to get people up and running?

    these superglobal variables seem to work like dictionaries, are they dictionaries or are they just implemented to have a similar interface?

    Is your member login system from 2 years ago still relevant? Or are some things obsolete?

    • @Dani_Krossing
      @Dani_Krossing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When it comes building important websites that has to be used for real, people don't really build login systems from scratch. We mostly use frameworks like Laravel to build it, since there are many automated features in it, which are all up to date.
      But to answer your question...
      No, nothing is "obsolete" in it 🙂 But keep in mind that the login system is meant as an exercise, to teach PHP basics. There is a lot of security that goes into handling user data, file management and sessions., which aren't in those tutorials. They are meant for "practice".

    is it necessary to commit superglobals to memory or u can just google them as u need them when you code

    • @Dani_Krossing
      @Dani_Krossing  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Over time you will start to remember them, as you use them, just like with all other code. 🙂 But I’ll let you in on a small secret… Even developers who have programmed for 10 years, still Google basic stuff 🫢

    I’m always surprised when you spend time explaining something and then say, “but this is not a good way to do this so don’t use it”. I love your videos but I’m trying to learn the right stuff, please just leave the wrong stuff out.
