The Elbphilharmonie is spectacular. It's just wonderful to see this beautiful modern architecture beside all the historical buildings. History and modern complete itself to a harmonic picture.
As a native Hamberger I'm glad you perceive it as this! The construction was very time and tax-money consuming, which made the Elphi quite unpoluar with the majority of Hamburg's people. But now apparently some grass has grown over the bad rep.

I lived in Bristol England for a good few years then moved to Hamburg, I'll have to say that these 2 cities have some so much in common! The harbour, the atmosphere, the weather, the architecture, the sites...
Only thing missing is those traditional english pubs and of course fish n chips shops 🍟
There is a British Pub around the Corner from my Home, the Owner is British, we have a lot of British and Irish Pubs in Hamburg ~ 20 Wolfgang from Hamburg
