Great version, Troy! I see you have the DoubleShot installed on the guitar? It’s the most versatile Road-O-Phonic I’ve ever seen - mine was the ‘early version’ with only the weak piezo and a tele pickup. But now I want this version!

I listen to "Paris Texas"'s soundtrack every Sunday morning while making breakfast. Excellent job! Just purchased a Gretsch G9210 Boxcar Square-Neck Resonator Guitar. I'm addicted to the sound!

Just rewatched Paris Texas about a month ago--great movie. Important to remember Ry Cooder was doing his version of Blind Willie Johnson's Dark Was The Night (definitely Ry Cooder did his unique thing to it). They even sent Blind Willie Johnson's recording into space in the late 70s when it was included on the Voyager Golden Record. I had the Columbia Legacy double cd of Blind Willie Johnson's complete recordings way back when it came out and listened to that over and over. Great to see the music still alive and inspiring.
