- Today’s Life Question of the Week comes from a single woman who fears she might not be a good match for the type of partner she envisions for herself and wants to know how can she move past that.
Next, Michael sits down with Kute Blackson, a beloved inspirational speaker and transformational teacher, and author of the bestselling books, You.Are.The.One. and The Magic of Surrender: Finding the Courage to Let Go. Kute’s mission is simple: To awaken and inspire people across the planet to access inner freedom, live authentically, and fulfill their true life’s purpose-a calling he’s been answering for over 20 years.
During their dynamic and extraordinary conversation, Michael and Kute discuss:
-The incredible life and spiritual lessons Kute gleaned from the unlikely story of how his parents met-a prominent Ghanaian minister and a Japanese woman living on separate continents and not speaking each other’s languages-and their 40-year marriage
-How growing up half Ghanaian and half Japanese in London, and not fully identifying with either culture prompted a deep soul searching within Kute for his identity, which ultimately led him to his true spiritual identity and calling
-How Kute’s mother’s cancer diagnosis planted the seeds for him to understand what surrender truly meant and the spiritual gifts it offers
-The misconceptions around what surrendering is (i.e., being weak, passive, giving up, etc.), what surrendering actually means (i.e., releasing resistance and opening up to unlimited possibilities), and how to start the journey
-The importance of grieving ‘what was’ as part of the process of surrendering to ‘what can be’ so that you can be fully open to the new
-How surrendering allows you to transcend the limitations of human consciousness and life to live a life of beauty - and much, much more!

I first came across Kute when I was incarcerated while listening to the Jake Narocky podcast and I've been inspired by him since. He helped me deep dig into myself to awaken my personal development.
In addition to the wise words and wonderful story of this young man he truly looks like he can be Muhammad Ali's son! 😊🙏🏽💕

Great great conversation. I’ve been a meditator since 1987, but I’ve come to accept that my true spiritual enlightenment has come from developing the skill of surrendering.
Oh man, the grieving process of dead dreams hits hard. I'm going through this transformation and often people around me project their limited perspectives and try project failure into my new paradigm. It's deeper than that. Universe has so much in store for me. So thank you for this conversation ❤
