    Had this knife for a couple of months and I love it so much I don't want to carry it. It is a work of art. Functional, yet gorgeous. I hope this design continues and expands. It's an instant classic, and very capable.

    That's a pretty good looking knife. Would love to put a blue anodized back spacer in there to set off that silver.

    too bad most crkt knives use cheap quick to dull steel like 8cr13mov or 420. they're beautiful designs but they need to step it up on the steel a little.

      Well said!

    • @Yogangster1995
      @Yogangster1995 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +cdawson198600 Exactly. If they could at least start using AUS8 im sure they'd start getting more business.

    • @Player_Review
      @Player_Review 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Yogangster1995 This knife comes standard in AUS8, which is quite similar to 8cr13mov. It is made by China though, which makes sense as it is designed by a Chinese custom knife maker.

    • @Yogangster1995
      @Yogangster1995 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jeremy Madsen I'm referring to their other knives in their line up. Kill the horrid 420 and replace it with AUS8. 8cr13 is ok, i find that the AUS8 holds an edge longer, and takes a sharper edge. But that's just my preference. Like cdawson said, they have beautiful designs, but crkt better step up on their steel choices if they really want to compete in this market.

    Full Flat Grind with a thicker top edge would have been better I think. Also longer gimping on the top edge would have been more functional.

    7.7 x 1 x 0.1 inches ; 5.4 ounces, its a bit of a PIG, my 'sweet spot' is 2--4oz with 4.5oz being my max for EDC pocket carry. 420J2 stainless steel is pretty good basic steel but it the $ is $20 too much to even be in my list, heck I have the AWESOME Kershaw 3840 FreeFall for all of $18, but I like the OUTRAGE

  • @webbhastings1451
    @webbhastings1451 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tx, good review. Like the knife but appears overpriced considering the materials - an frn spacer?!? Not convinced the pivot bearings justify an increased price either - I have a Kershaw Nura (KVT bearings) and it's not noticeably better than my CRKT M16-12Z re blade action. What's that site where you occasionally see the Ripple?

    I have the ripple and hootenanny and the size different is pretty big but yours looks closure in size. Am I missing something?

    • @asmitty952
      @asmitty952 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Brandon Paul The ripple comes in two sizes. One is 3.75 inches closed and one is 4.25 inches closed. You might have the smaller version and Late Boy Scout is showing the larger version.

    • @Eric-mf6vm
      @Eric-mf6vm 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris Hall it should be fairly easy because it's a soft steel

    this knife doesnt seem worth the 100$ price tag especailly being made in china. i would pay more then 25 bucks for a china knife. even then i would probly give the knife away after a week.

    I'm tired of seeing ball bearing, frame lock flippers on the market. Overbuilt was in, now its flippers. I guess I just prefer more old school type designs.
