Nice video - but personally I was hoping for a bit more about your actual mixdown decisions and choices, as this is something I have to do myself time to time. As interesting as this is, its mostly about how to record an orchestra. But thanks for posting, a challenging assignment!
Yeah your right should have talked about that a little more. Appreciate the feedback. The main thing about it starts from mic choice and placement I would say of course because you cant do much processing to the signal in this case (sharing mics). Eq wise i didn't do much out of the norm but hi-pass ,take out low mids and some 5Kish on the harsh stuff. I didnt do much compression besides master bus because of how dynamic the group was, and i think i did alot of master bus eqing because of the venues sound was very low mid heavy. That helped alot and as far as levels i tried to match how they played and i ended up riding the master fader the whole show to keep constant volume. Reeverbs were longer around 4-6 seconds. Overall i cut mostly to try to brighten up everything and added alot of reeverb to smooth the edges. Thanks
🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 good job bro solid stuff. Keep it coming 💯
Thanks 💯

@@ju1ceaudio Thank you, very interesting. A gentle touch then, with such a dynamic range in the performance
Just so happened to stumble across your channel today. You look vaguely familiar… anyway the Star Wars mix was 🤌🏽
Thanks😂🥸
