- The original Dark Souls finally has a "remaster" on the current generation of consoles! That means we have bosses to fight! As with my other videos for Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls 3, this video shows my first victory over each boss during my first playthrough. This video includes rambling, soft speaking, and whispering about my experience with the game, boss lore, strategies, and other Dark Souls related stuff.

Wait, WTF? I never knew about that section of the Centipede Demon boss room with the green titanite. 200+ hours and I still miss basic stuff like this. I think I didn't learn about the bonfire in Sen's Fortress until my 6th playthrough.

I didn’t find the warriors of sunlight covenant in ds2 till my fourth play through, we are all stupid in our own unique way 👍

Fun fact, apparently the feature of where you can cut off enemy tails is considered a bad feature of the game since none of the other installments have it, I personally loved it and I used a few weapons during my playthrough from tails like the gargoyles, I'll admit that it can be difficult to cut tails off with specific bosses like Kalameet and Seath but it was worth the work to get it imo. I will defend DS1's tail feature to the grave.
Not being able to sever the tail from the dragon in Aldia's Keep in DS2 was a crime fr. If there was ever a boss that should've had a tail cut mechanic, it would've been that baby kalameet looking mf
Most if not all of the tail cut weapons were just simply too niche or just straight up bad to bother using, and the Boss Soul weapon/spell mechanic is a lot more forgiving as well as accessible in comparison to the tailcut mechanic which is why I think they never brought it back.
Drake Sword = Useful early game, falls off quick, upgrade investment largely useless
Gargoyle Tail Axe = Shit, outpaced by Battle Axe/Bandit Axe
Dragon King Greataxe, Dragon Greatsword = Extremely high stat req, will not be used till much later in the game, really only useful for 1shot builds, slow moveset
Moonlight Greatsword = Decent weapon, FromSoft mainstay
Priscilla's Dagger = Dagger moveset, Lifehunt ability is basically useless because of poor base damage and range
Obsidian Greatsword = Actually decent weapon, but moveset is slow, and access is so limited it's low stat reqs aren't really a bonus
Most of these weapons would see equivalents in later games as Boss Soul weapons, and their own spots replaced by similar unique weapons that aren't as exclusive to obtain e.g Black Dragon weapons in Dark Souls 2.
Dark Souls 2--especially Scholar Of The First Sin edition has the tail severing mechanic, and even applies it to other, non-tail limbs! You can cut off the Guardian Dragon's tail, The Rotten's arms and The Duke's Dear Feyja's head. They don't give you any new items, but they can make the bosses significantly easier.

Man, the Taurus Demon was the easiest boss ever when I first played. I hit him once, saw the tower and climbed for a plunging attack, then he jumped "at" me and went right over the edge with 95% hp lol.
Then I got to the gargoyles and the whooped my ass for two days straight 😂

for some reason when I was looking at how long the video was I hovered over the red line that shows how far you're in the video, there was a glitch to where I only saw them in the customazation screen, so I thought that they were in the customazation screen the whole time XD

The S&O fight in my first playthrough was so frustrating and difficult but I eventually got them on my own. 😎

I believe I used a total of 2 summons throughout the entire souls series on my first playthrough on my winning fights. Once on the Bell Gargoyles, and once on Throne Watcher and Throne Defender. If I used one in any other cases and almost won, I'd kill myself and try again by myself. Ornstein and Smough took me around 8-9 hours because of that. Though, I also killed Smough first because I wanted Ornstein's armor which also made things more difficult. It was really fun though, grinding my way to victory is something that I find really entertaining when most people just get angry.

honestly i think demon prince from dark souls 3 definitely recaptures the spirit of ornstein and smough and perhaps doe it even better. its also much more diffcult

How do you get the mace that you got before fighting the Taurus demon
walk into the elevator shaft in firelink shrine, walk into the small hallway, drop into the small area behind the shrine, loot the 3 chests. the one in the middlemost part of the back area contains the mace

This video is over a year old, but lemme just say, it brought backs soooo many memories of the Dark Souls games, I remember being a noob in DS1 being terrified to move and no im out here speed running ds3 and bloodborne with confidence and ease, 10/10 best games series ever.
