Great Comparison video, the Starke SW12 has great stats in a smaller cabinet and at a reasonable price. Can't wait to win this, so I can hear it in person.
SW 12 subwoofer would be a nice addition to my theater.
SW12- would really make a difference from my lil puny sub, that home theater on a state salary budget.
getting low down in frequency is number one priority for a subwoofer, and the starke does it at a small size, then add more for louder or more impact sound.
and if it does not have a high pass filter built in you can get 10hz out of it with dsp, unlike most ported subwoofers.
White compact subwoofers with XLR in and out.

Yeah, the SW12 looks like a great product. It's a bit larger than my space can accommodate but I could add it to my basement. The white option on the SW12 is also living room friendly. I find that having a bluetooth app or a remote to control the bass would take this to the next level in terms of usability.
Hopefully they do that BOGO deal again this year

These subs interest me more than any other's on the market right now. Space is at a premium in my room.
Seeing how light weight it is for its power and "output". Does the SW12 tend to bounce or move when pushed hard? I have a Bowers and Wilkins ASW610 and I have to hold it down with a 15lb weight.
Not that I noticed during my review. I mean it’s on carpet, so that helped it stay in place as well. I imagine it should stay in place, even on hardwood or laminate flooring. 🤷♂️

Typically you do get a boost in voltage when using XLR! Although I don’t have any measuring tools for power consumption, but I imagine using the XLR input was the best case scenario! 😁🤘

I'm all for sealed enclosures, but I find it pretty hard to believe that that thing reaches to 16hz in a sealed cabinet... What's the F3 or max spl for 16hz?

For sealed it’s hard to beat a rythmik sub but these seem like a good option

SW12, how much output does it have at +6 Db on a home theater receiver at 70% out on the subs volume. Please post A Video with the results.

"SW12" Great review, i really like the small sealed cabinet, + the option's of XLR, RCA/LFE, true variable phase knob of any deg., between 0° through 180°, and that it can dig down into the infrasonic range, for such a compact enclosure!

Just bought the OSD Trevoce 12" triple woofers sealed box design. Paid $285+tax on Outdoor Speaker Depot ($299 but 5% off email code). Hopefully it's good for movies, my First Subwoofer since 1998 when I got Infinity 12" down-firing 100 watts RMS subwoofer from Circuit City store.
That SW12 would be a nice Replacement for my Velodyne VX 10. Nice looking Sub. And priced right also

Impressive sub for the size. The “SW12” driver looks similar to the one used for the DIY kit, Dayton Audio 18" Ultimax Subwoofer and Cabinet Bundle 1,000 Watts.

Hmmm…lots of factors, including how close it is to a wall, if it’s inside a man entertainment center or additional cabinet, how your furniture is set up, etc. But typically a sub like the SW12 is built well enough that you’ll most likely not run into any resonance issues, where the cabinet itself is vibrating too much to handle its own output. When I was testing it, I didn’t run into any boominess or resonance problems, so it should do just fine, unless you’re overdoing it and have it cranked up way too high. 😄🤘

Emotiva Airmotiv XS12 is $549 for the 12" 90 Pounds box. Should be high end amplifier as Emotiva and the box is furniture grade HDF, not sure if 1" thick or less....

Probably Klipsch's newer sub, the RP-1200SW, although it costs more and the specs still aren't as good on paper as the SW12.
