. Final rating: Thumbs down. This hack uses Renegade Platinum as its base, play that one instead for a more balanced, cohesive & fair challenge.
This hack has too many changes to Pokemon types to compensate for the removal of EV's. The challenge becomes non existent once the player has access to hold items like the Expert Belt. The regional forms are overpowered as is the the Ice type. Due to the massive amount of type changes, the Dark type is now useless in this game because of the amount of Bug & Fairy trainers the player must defeat. (Yanmega is everywhere in this game, meaning Pokemon like Starmie & Feraligatr, which is now Water/Dark, are severely affected.) Steel & Ice types are also common but the Fire types are severely lacking or have been changed. (Arcanine is now an Ice type.) The Ice type has become overpowered, losing its weakness to Rock & now receiving neutral damage from Rock type moves. (See @25:06 to see why that's a problem.) Water has been neutered & Ice now resists Water, Dragon & Ground - Again, the Ice type is everywhere in this game as is the regional Ice/Electric Raichu form that can only be hit effectively with Fighting & Fire type moves, both of which are severely lacking. No EV's means EVERYTHING is weaker defensively. The player can buy Expert Belts as a store item, effectively ruining the challenge & almost guaranteeing 1 shot victories, 9/10 times from Pokemon with a beneficial nature.
.Closing: I found myself making mistakes because I could not memorize all (and there are too many) of the type changes to the Pokemon in this game. It was more difficult to memorize the type changes than it was to defeat the trainers in this game, which requires no creative thinking or skill once hold items are available & they're available pretty early in the game. If the removal of EV's, as stated by the developer, was due to the CPU in the game being programmed to not use them, supposedly making the game easier for the player along with EV's being tedious, caused this much of an effort to rebalance everything, then it would have been better & easier to just keep the EV's & and have the focus be on the regional forms instead - many of which were very creative & deserve high praise for the spite edits.
