not gonna lie ive never had a engine with the stock head on a bike or kart, so seeing this kinda difference makes me glad i spent the time and money on these heads and also porting and polishing them. things got my predator 224s running 16:1 compression
@@MR_IC 14cc head milled down a few thou as it wasnt even perfectly flat, zero deck flat top, and a .010" head gasket gets compresion to 15.99:1 but its just easier to say 16:1 as you wont notice that .01 difference
Do you have an aftermarket cam in your engine? I have a 224 with a F276 cam, billet rod, flat top piston, thinner head gasket, and an old gx160 head. I was thinking about porting the gx160 head and putting it on the 22, but I was worried about valve to piston clearance especially if the head is warped and needs to be milled.
I love those 14cc heads! Did you reuse that thin head gasket? Also does it still have the 40 tooth rear sprocket? If so, maybe try a 42 tooth rear sprocket?
I run marvel mystery oil in all my vehicles because they're mostly classics and my small engines I would love to see you do a comparison on speed just show it doesn't make a difference in performance and put it in some of your mini bikes and in a year's time show the results of how the rubber and everything held up😊
@@Black66so then it should have a taller deck height? I’d think it should because otherwise the piston would pop out the bore by quite a bit. Kind of like the gx200 and the gx160 where the 200 had a taller deck in order to be able to accommodate the longer stroke. I’m only asking because I don’t have a 224 on hand.
Can you please do an easy full suspension project for the RB200 I've seen go power sports kit they have for it. which is way to expensive right now since it just came out. And there are plenty of RB200 Coleman owners who are starting to convert to full suspension. I'm hearing it rides and feels more like the real deal holy field and makes the bike change in looks the appearance ride and quality of the change is much needed. it automatically puts you on the road with Honda groms.
dont you get premature combustion with those? it should get around 15:1 ratio and idk if pump gas is enough, you should test it while its hot and see if it starts knocking
Black 66 so if I have 224 predator that just have a governor removed header pipe and carburetor is it safe to put 18 lb valve springs in it 🫣👀🤔 just wanna be safe
You can go up to 26lb before you need chromoly valves etc. I run 26lb springs w 1.3 stamped ratio rockers with stainless ( stock ) valves Fire 265 cam , billet rod, 38$ aluminum flywheel 10k rpm 28 mm carb I can hit 60 and still got some throttle. Just not gonna push it too hard, I’m not rich so replacing engine/or parts is hard on my wallet. Just removed my governor, but when i start bike it starts with an open throttle. Any suggestions, i was thinking a new throttle set up, and a new tuned carb. But idk?
Great video! Also do you happen to know what cam for under $70 would be good for my build? Tryna aim for more top speed. I got a 212 hemi 22 pound springs, fix removed, mikuni carb, exhaust pipe, billet rod cast wheel, I’m thinking of getting a hot 265, would that help gain torque and top speed? Or at least just top speed ? Thanks!!

I have both the hot 265 and the fire 265 the fire cam has a lot more duration than the hot cam..its like 99 dollars but it's a big difference in power and speed. The fire cam has the same lift as the hot but the valve stays open longer creating a much bigger powerband

Hello Sir, I was thinking about a little rascal or a rascal but then I saw the B200's and it seems to me for the money you can't beat the B200's. What is your take between the 2? Thank you.
I think Its personal preference and what you want to do with the bike. I like both bikes. The Rascal is a great platform because you can set it up for many different riding styles, Cruising, drag racing or somewhere in between and its light weight. The B200 is also a great bike with many options like the RSV with full suspension.
I put a 196cc head on a 212cc but the valve lash is broken somehow the nuts are backed all the way off the bolts and it runs just fine but the nuts keep coming off inside the engine? Help someone please i know what im doing but this has got to be wrong

Excellent video. The valve cover bracket looks stock.

Pretty much exactly how I build my 196s. There's some power to be made there for a very reasonable price

You reuse the head gasket?
Might pull a little taller gear now

Quick question, So I know that the predator 224 and 212 are both 70mm bores but, does the 224 have a taller deck or are they the same deck height?
The 224 has a longer stroke ,a 58MM stroke VS a 55 MM stroke of the 212
