    You can do this with acetone and dry ice, too. Used it to cold brand cattle. It blanches the hair pigment so the brand shows up white. Minimal discomfort for the animal and very little chance of infection or complication.
    Also in my undergrad chem class my professor, James Marshall, gargled liquid nitrogen AND stuck his finger in it. KING.

    Is this supper flammable

    • @thesinister909-I.E
      @thesinister909-I.E 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes and No.. The vapors are flammable and alcohol needs to be warm for it to change from liquid to gas. The Co2 would extinguish any flame that came into contact with the slush. But after the dry ice does it's job no more Co2 things start going back to normal.

    can I use normal ice from my refrigerator

    • @ActionLabShorts
      @ActionLabShorts  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, it has to be dry ice. Dry ice is much colder than the ice in your refrigerator and dry ice doesn't melt into water and dilute your alcohol.

      Every Kind Of Scientist can I make dry ice?

    • @ActionLabShorts
      @ActionLabShorts  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not unless you have a way to cool CO2 down to -109 F. And if you do have a way to do that, then you don't need to make this stuff:)

      Just grab a fire extinguisher, then release the carbon dioxide into the pillow case until it's empty and wow! Dry Ice!
