You made my heart a garden filled with flowers. The green grass is like a carpet, kissed by the morning dew. You blessed the seeds of love I’ve sown. You warmed my heart so they could grow. Now shelter me in your arms, Lord, while the storms are passing through.

I can bring the water to the roses. I can plant the seeds of kindness so the bitter weeds won’t grow. But I can’t cause the rain to fall on a dry and thirsty soul, and I can’t calm the storms, Lord, or the angry winds that blow.
