Since Jolo, Sulo has been isolated from people within the Philippines by media. The vibes is like another country! What a very interesting and amazing place. 😍🇵🇭
At the end of the day, it all depends with personal interpretations of what’s the actual image of this place in people’s minds. The media is just the messenger, they report events whenever those occur. And they also report good things about sulu archipelago (byahe ni drew for example). Isa lang masasabi ko , napawow ako sa jolo -isabela content mo paps. Dati biking pa nga mode of transportation mo sa pag punta sa mga kainain. Minsan na din kita nabash dahil sa hypegaming nung mga pares and shit noon. Then nag transition ka sa much more mature and informative way ng food vlogging. Masasabi kong eto yung legit na food vlogging where in matututo ka sa lugar na pinupuntahan mo. Graduate ka na sa pang batang "food vlogger" na halos lahat e pang hype lang ng kainan and not giving it's true value for the sake of views. sobrang underated ng channel at ng mga contents mo. Nakakatuwa naman Kasi unti unti ng nabibigyan ng pagkakataon na makilala Ang other side of Mindanao na Hindi puro gulo gaya ng pinapakita ng media. I'm a Christian and we stayed in Maguindanao for 12 years and people there are so accommodating, welcoming and happy lang. Naiinis lang ako kapag na generalized ng media na pag Muslim or galing Mindanao ay terrorist which is wrong ibang iba talaga pinapakita sa tv. Mindanao is the best ❤

My heart goes to people in mindanao lalo na sa SULU area, naiinggit ako sa Malaysia and Indonesia na sanay sila sa mixed Religion sa community. I want to have that synergy sa PH, sana maging comfortable tayong lahat sa isa't isa kasi lahat naman tayo Filipino. This is very emotional for me thanks paps sa pag cover ng Mindanaoan culture. Please help encourage other vloggers to visit these unfamiliar culture to help us locals know more about our brothers and sisters from the south.
There are so many beautiful places in Mindanao. so many cuisines to taste. I hope tourists will not be afraid of Mindanao and enjoy the food, the scenery, and most especially the people of Mindanao.

@@allansevilla5640 Way back in College, we had a college friend and dorm mate. They are all Muslim girls, we had been dorm mates for 5 years before they left to work abroad. We are in the same province but they are on the other side which are Muslim towns while we came from Christian Town. Every fiesta and celebration from my hometown, we bring them along with us. That is not an issue. But never in that 5 years, they tried to bring or invite us in their area. They said it is very complicated and very risky and their family's will not allow someone to visit their community. But in the dorm, we live like siblings. We eat together. Most of the time, as they are more financially blessed, they will pay my share of the food
cost. In return I always invite them to our hometown when its fiesta, birthdays.
@@allansevilla5640 When their parents will visit them, they were also very warm to us. Even their brothers. Its just that their is some kind of pressure to them not to bring someone to their community much less staying overnight.

You should have included pictures of the big Catholic cathedral like you did of the mosques. Up to the '74 fire, the Tulay Mosque and the Mt. Carmel Cathedral symbolized peace in Jolo. Muslims and Catholics lived side by side peacefully . In those great old days, no one was Muslim or Catholic in our eyes. The present Muslim Governor of Sulu and his brothers graduated from a Catholic high school (NDJBD) in the '60s and '70s. Three of my Catholic friends who are now very successful doctors in the States went to a Muslim college (PMC) before medical school. In those days, Jolo was one great town, clean, peaceful, and a great place to grow up. These are my memories of the jewel of a town where I was born.
