I wish that Buffy had chosen Spike, because he was true blue to her, loyal, and he would've fought the world for her with one hand, as long as she was holding the other hand. He honestly loved her,and jumped through hoops of fire for her, and he died for her, but she wouldn't let herself see all that. I honestly think that Buffy was in love with Spike , but she wouldn't allow herself to be.
in a way she did, in the comics spike returns and she commits to him. the writer did a good job with this series but i believe they could have done more with Spike, it seemed like everyone is blind when it comes down to the true love story of this series. Spike did more for buffy because of love without a sole and with a sole then angel ever did. even the writer did state that Sarah and James miss read what he wanted, he wanted all the nise to go silent and for her to love him and him to love her but the actors did good but lacked the high emotion in the scene. and he should have just said i love you too he was dieing. there sould have also been a little more stuggle in leaving him. then at the end behind the bus, buffy says Spike, then walkes then stops, says nothing, not I love you spike, i will miss you, anything but its like it did not even effect her. everyone talking about how they saved the world, mor slayers but it like no one nows who the true chapion was and why they are alive. like spike sacrifice was nothing. even know the ending was nice it could have been epic if Spike survived, took off the amulant and left at the last momment with buffy. or at least have buffy show more loss emotianlly.
Joss has already confirmed that she was indeed in love with him (: Also, Buffy did choose Spike, in the canonical comics. She said no to Angel and started a serious (and healthy!) 2-year relationship with Blondie Bear, she even saw herself having children with Spike!
@@szyna91 Not sure what you found but that's not accurate, to say the least. Angel is around but not around-around. He ends up with Illyria and he and Buffy end up just friends. By the end of S12 Buffy is in her late 30s and there's zero indication that she's even interested in getting back together with Angel anymore. With Spike, on the other hand, Buffy has left the door open to "get back together anytime in the future" - which means it's not really over for them yet. The writers failed to give us a reason why they broke up ("off-screen"), it looks like they couldn't, the two were perfectly happy the last time we saw them. So there's no reason why Buffy and Spike wouldn't get back together eventually (and maybe end up together). Nevertheless, what I meant is that Buffy chose Spike OVER Angel (and there weren't any other options we were made aware of either). She had the opportunity to end up with Angel, with the curse being a non-issue, but she willingly rejected it and picked Spike. Unless we get an official continuation to the continuation, for the time being the Spuffy ship is still sailing away while the Bangel ship has sunk.

I can relate to Spike, I've loved and not been loved in return, and it's not a good place to be. But poor Spike has always found himself in that position, time after time, in life and even in death.
OMFG this is so amazing, man i love these two. He loved her with and without a soul, thats more than you can say about Angel. Riley was honestly a great guy, but he left her Spike never left. He was there to the end and that meant something. Spuffy for life❤🩹
so many people misinterpret spike getting his soul "he did it so he could get in buffys pants!" no. he remembered william pratt. the "poor sentimental fool", who he knew would be good for her. buffys good man. Spike got his soul so he would never hurt buffy ever again
great editing. i so love buffy and spike. i think she needed a bad boy and angel is too tame. william pratt was originally a good person. he was a poet and a sensitive soul, and a bit of a mama's boy. i think he always had the potential to be good
