Mao is the best, no doubt, she is my star, yes, one of the best spinners we have ever seen, besides other qualities, but Yu - Feng Tsai did ''the skate of the night'', a little miracle, she was so deep and moving, precious girl!

Is it legal to skate to the same music combination as previous performances from years before? I know you can of course use the same piece of a music as a whole but Mia literally skated to copy paste Alina’s carmen from 2019. Idk someone enlighten me pls 😭

    • @seashantysarah

yes it is legal, there are no restrictions on the music so long as it is the right length and is appropriate for competition (i.e. no cursing)

Wow the commentator Tim Burton just went to an all time low in butchering these skaters names, closely saying the “N” word to say the Thai skater’s last time. Tim Burton, the announcer is literally saying the skaters name for you to try to say to it correctly. And yes I know his name is not Tim Burton but I’ll mispronounce his name until he starts to do better and he has so much time to practice as he doesn’t say anything during the skaters performance.

Haha yes I just laugh at how absurdly bad he is 😂 As a Swede, I’m used to people pronouncing our names very weirdly. 🙃 He has many names to learn, so I guess that he can’t perfect them all, but I agree that he at least should pronounce all of the letters in a name (especially thinking of Phattarathida and Polina from Hungary).

@@Kiridiam Names being called properly are very important in any sports/performing arts. I f you butcher some ones name during introduction you may never be called back to host any events.
He has time to go over some of these difficult names but he needn't
rush through that portion of program.
