Lydia confirmed that FEX is the mysterious band. Congrats to everyone on their journey to solving this mystery. www.reddit.com/r/TheMysteriousSong/comments/1gm2rl4/finally/
For the longest time I feared that whoever made this song had passed in the 40 years since, and we'd never confirm whether it was their song. Boy, am I glad I was wrong.
Imagine being part of a small band, being clueless for years just carrying on with your lives. You all split for ordinary jobs after doing radio pitches. No big label pickup or anything, only to be contacted to realize you've been one of the internet's biggest searches for years. That's gotta be a trip for these guys. Hopefully they get a way to officially sell it. I'll gladly buy Internet history.
If the live version wasn’t enough, I feel like this definitely now confirms that the key/pitch we’re all used to has got to indeed be the intended one.
I know a lot of the recent focus has been on how cool it is that the Internet found this song, but I can’t imagine how gratified the members of the band feel right now. Going 40 years thinking nobody knows your songs and leaving the past behind you only to find out That one of those songs is adored by a good chunk of the Internet who doesn’t even know who sang it or what its title is must be the craziest sensation.
I really love lyrics of this song. I am from Crimea, and even here, so far away, I am really, really happy to know that artists, who made this song long ago, has ben found. Even on my native language I can't explain full range the emotions that I experienced when this song started to play on NDR's online radio. Never though that news about "just one song" can make me so happy. :)
"FEX is a obscure band from Kiel, North Germany." yup, still is that the entire internet now knows about them and praises them :3 but seriously this rerecording feels like the end credits of lostwave lol good job to the people who made this possible, and i wish lostwave goodluck on it's next chapter, one without Ulterior Motives and Subways of Your Mind
I’ve been speechless since Nov 4th…now this! Thank you to everyone involved for making the unthinkable possible! A story like this could never be written! FEX Nation Toronto, Canada! Our New Wave “Searching For Sugarman”!
This is very good, amazing they’re able and willing to perform it after all these years. Hopefully this will get a good studio recording and maybe a release on vinyl (probably not but I would like it though). Oh wait.. I have to press replay again
Absolutely beautiful. The melody, singing, and everything is between. This better make it on the album (not saying that it was confirmed, just saying).

We didn't get the good ending, we got the best ending.
Best ending will be if the band regroups and starts touring
@@Gamefreak924 It seems that the band itself has already announced this.
@DanillEmelyanov ??? no, they’ve just announced they’re going to re-record

And this is best part of searching
Same bro!
And that they got to know it was appreciated!
they lost contact with their drummer. but the other 3 are still alive.
@@Gigidag77 а на видео кто на барабанах?
The fact that we've got a live version of this song by the original artist in 2024 is truly a miracle!!
I can’t believe he still sings this well after 40 years
Arguably better
They still sound the same as in the 80s, nothing changed. Perfect.
They sound surprisingly great!! Especially the singer
Now we know this is no coincidence but their pretty style
He has been making music for a local theater in Kiel until today.

I truly want the members of FEX have all the success and money they can handle. It may be 40 years later, but their time is now.

DARIUS & LYDIA LIVE REACTION
THEIR RESPONSE IS NEXT
They are in shock
They found out 😂
amazing, they still got it after so many years
2024 is THE best year of all time not just for lostwave, but for lost media in general. Insane how much has been found.
HOLY SHIT THEY STILL HAVE IT THIS IS SO GOOD
OMG, I have tears in my eyes, I love this song. I'm so glad, that the band was finally found.
same, same ♥
Oh me too.
now, i know this is live and unplugged, but i sure hope they make a modern studio version of this
They already said they will
"I just died in your arms tonight...."
Yeah! That's exaclty what I thought right away. But This song came a year before "I just died in your arms tonight" ;D
It actually came out about two years earlier or more based on the '83 demo that surfaced recently.
What a journey.
Ого, живое исполнение круто. Офигенная песня в мире. Авторы молодцы.
god dayum... they still got it! and we got an unplugged version as well!
We got a another version of this song again.
I hope Fex has more songs that will be found!
maybe unreleased tapes with more songs?
They have another 3 songs (Heart in Danger, Talking Hands and Jenny)
@@rabootocoelhinho5698 yes I'm aware
@@rabootocoelhinho5698 There's another song?

Best thing to come out of this entire week by far. Above all else, we at least have this mystery solved.
nice👌40 years later yall still got it
2 days ago the mystery got solved, now we already have a unplugged version o.o
I hope they rerecord the other songs too and maybe even make a few more new song's they really have a great music style
Maybe 2024 isn't so bad
After what happened on Tuesday, yeah.
Nah it's crazy rather than bad, just remember what happened in this year and how many events happened.
I'd call it "interesting."
Probably the best birthday gift ive gotten in a while
The "remember, this still can be a hoax" in the description is, i think, no longer necessary at this point
Yeah it would be one hell of a weird hoax to be this good and have so much little details

They've been discovered, they're already loved, now if they see it, I want an album of new songs and some shows they're comfortable with
Greatness has been achieved.
Official Anthem of the Internet

OH DUH, It's says Nov. 7, not July 11. 🤦🏻♂
It's the other way around, in other countries the date is written in a different order.
Play it over the credits.
Sucks to be you! You're gonna get all the hype 😂 :D

Jemand von Creepypastapunch hier?
The only band where the singer still sounds like they did in the 80’s
