Thanks for checking it out. Hope you find it useful and if there is anything else you are struggling with then holla at me and I’ll see if I can make it as another video
@@SethAshworth Thank you - I've been following you for a couple years now and always fall back to your videos. I just got a half slice and trying to learn some down river play. There are a couple of big breaking waves that keep flipping me over on the Ocoee(double trouble and hell hole), so I'm watching your video on "How to paddle through Breaking Waves".
Appreciate the advice. As a novice ‘play-boater’ I look forward to trying this technique in my Kingpin 6.1 or maybe my Riot Flair 47. However, how about a little more vid and a little less ‘yak’....thank you....great job paddling as usual. We’re also on you tube as TWO BROTHERS KAYAKING. Look forward to more of your videos.
That's brilliant Seth! Was attempting in surf today. Can do nice vertical air wave wheels so this is just adding a variation. Fell on my head a bit. Matter of committing to the snap and also pushing straight down it seems. Living at the beach. Any instructional vids on surf moves? Cheers! P.S. Don't have a bow stall (working on that), although thinking it might be possible to air wave wheel without over-rotating then pop out for a flat water loop!? (v competent loop in small holes).
The Ocean waves are definitely a little different from the river waves. Because of where I am based I don't spend much time doing ocean wave stuff so unfortunately don't have much help for you there I am afraid. I have another video on double pumps which hopefully should help you over the hill for your bow stall, practice often and try and film your self to find your mistakes if you can. Check it out th-cam.com/video/Etx80IBZKzs/w-d-xo.html
Seth, love the tutorials. How about one on the second half of the loop? The second half bugs the hell out of me! I know what to do, and practice on dry land, but whilst actually in the air just can't seem to make myself do the movement!
Simon Wyndham I hear that dude. I have a few other people struggling with that part of the loop too so will see if o can put something together. Stoked you like them!!
half a wave wheel is not a wave wheel, the only thing you are doing is a bow stall over a wave. you need to continue it with linking the stern too. only linking one end does not make a wave wheel or a cartwheel. out of all the good rivers you do, why couldn't have put the video on hold until you were somewhere that had a good wave.? watch some old Corran Addison Riot videos if you want to learn what a wave wheel is. half a circle does not make a wheel.
Would be fun to see a full wave wheel video if you get to it. Thx for all the tutorials, super helpful and inspiring.
I’ll add it to the list. Thanks for checking it out
Thank Seth for the video!

Todd Buh thanks for taking the time to watch the video! I’ll definitely take your advice on board for the 2.0 version of this video.
no need to be such a critic...he's only trying to help.
