Lawrence is a very handy person on the farm . A jack of all trades . A real friendly person . The only thing Is I find it a little hard to understand him when he speaks . You are a beautiful family.
As much as I enjoy your videos, I'm going to have to agree with farmer here. When it's just the two of you working on a clearly difficult project........ Put down the camera. Don't fret, your viewers will understand and appreciate the finished product.😁😁😁😁
Leaving the corporate world and becoming a farmer's wife and sharing life's experiences on the farm has given all of us a warm and wonderful experience we would never have without you and your family.
Meredith - your Family’s documented experiences, is Doubly enjoyable for me. Brings back many of the best times of my life on an Ark. Ozarks row crop farm in the Fifties, age 4-14. Then I moved to the City, & my main ‘Sports Skill’ was Deere driving! 😃
Having done heavy rigging and crane work most of my life, I see the frustration of "making do"... But I'm no longer in that business, and can only say good job getting it done with no injuries and no damage.. Bravo!
Some of the best things on this channel: You yourself, Meredith. Incredible! Watching you interact with your daughter. So sweet! She's lucky to have a role model like you. Watching Austin try to wrestle with Wesley. You can tell he lets her get by with a lot and is gentle with her. Lawrence's wisdom and humor, especially on that "oil change" video. The views of that farm, the countryside, the sunsets, old buildings, etc, are beautiful! Watching the cows run next to your ATV and change fields. Bonnie, the wonder dog!
Barley is the best for fattening and developing the " marbling" in the sirloin, rib eye, T - bone...etc. The flavor of the meat is fuller and makes the meat taste like beef.
It is so refreshing watching a women who seems to be upbeat and smiling all the time, a very rare quality in these times! Someone who would be a pleasure to meet, I believe you are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside. One down to earth family, count your blessings for making the decision to quit work and go home and work on the family farm! Love your videos!!
You guys have some really beautiful ground and nice looking cattle! I'm glad Lawrence is getting better with the camera. Watching him work and walk gives me the impression that he's always been working non-stop. That takes a toll on a guy. I think no matter the project, he'll get it done though!
I know I said it once but it's just surreal to me how much Farmer Lawrence reminds me of farming/ranching with Dad. Granted dad was in his 90's when the Lord needed a Rancher, Farmer and horseman in 2001..but the similarities are haunting. Just can't get enough of Lawrence!! He probably forgot more than most of us know. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank You for sharing your Family Stories. Y’all are awesome! The kids are so great at doing jobs around the farm and having fun doing them. I appreciate the things you do and how you express yourself, it’s really nice to know there are others in this world that care so much about their Family. That positive attitude and outlook is infectious. God Bless and keep up the wonderful work!
Such a Beautiful family, I swear Westly is all legs! Thank you Meredith for making that change 7 years ago. You’ve provided many of us an opportunity to get to know your family and your lifestyle. I for one Appreciate the hours and hours you put in to give that to us. Thank you
Meredith it looks like farming work is paying off for you even though it's not easy it does have its rewards 😊👍 you sure are a very jolly , kind lady that makes awesome videos for others to enjoy great cook 👍 and can even change her own oil now 💪 would not have learned that in the corporate world 😂 thanks for sharing
Meredith, love seeing Austin, and Wesley helping out of the farm. I learned something about calves today watching this video. Testing the skin on the dead calf the way your husband did to see the status/reason for that calfs death.
Hey Meredith, I’m going through a time in my life trying to balance work and being able to smell the roses a little bit. I’m sixty four years old, and when you were talking about when you gave up your corporate job to come home to raise your children and work with your husband. Like you said if we just trust the lord everything will be alright. Like always keep up the good work and making your videos, I watch your you tube channel faithfully. I really enjoy your family’s down to earth ness. God bless your family.
Your kids have a great place to grow. They probably don't know how lucky they are, but they seem like great kids. Thanks Meredith for letting us into you families life.
Hi Meredith and family hope you all are doing good today.God bless you and your family today and always. I am glad you decided to stay home because we would never get to watch you and your family. I enjoy watching you and your family every day.God bless you.
What fantastic weather that you enjoy, so late in the year, to be able to cut and save hay. I think that Lawrence would thank me for asking you not to video him, while he is eating, especially as he had to improvise, without a spoon. I certainly would not like to have a camera pointing at me, while I eat. I made such a life choice back 20 years ago in trading my secure job for a self employed life and am so so glad that I did. You certainly did the right thing and we’re all the beneficiaries. Austin is a tonic to observe, such a funny lady is she. Wesley is of a quieter disposition, more like his Dad. Thank you for another enjoyable episode.
i just recently started watching your videos. I respect the way you help your husband around the farm. However, there is a time to call in the troops for help. This was a perfect example of needing to call the troops in for help. Your time is valuable.
That was very interesting learning about cutting into the still born to find out what may have been the cause. I love your videos Meredith. Thankful you are here so I can share your farm life with your family.
Cherish your days on your farm with your family and animals ! Your trials and tribulations add to the different layers of your life ! When your older your memories will give you the greatest satisfaction of success in your life ! Bless ❗

Yrs. ago before the plastic era hit we would leave the cover on the can open to about an inch or so,do the same thing as he did with the lid and it became a handle that we used for a dipper for picking berries,as a cup to heat over the fire for tea.Sometimes we left the cans hung in a tree back country for the next year while on a fishing trip etc. Bean, soup, cans we could heat over the fire and so can in one hand and spoon/fork/stick in the other.
i was watching the man i guess it is your dad and thinking how many years he has worked and it humbles me to see hard working people that have don this all there lives.
6:02 The next time you lift something with a backhoe, put a rope (tag line) on the lower part of the object, so you can control from a safe distance. Also the position of the strap round the tank, is important for balance and to make the bottom fall down. The backhoe is almost not tall enough to get the tank vertical. You can drag the feet against the ground and pull the tank upright. Good ole physics, friction against the ground.
We love your episodes. Y'all are a great example on how all American families should be. I need to come there a clan all the pens, how about given my old red with a straight blade on back, pile up and haul away the yuk. I have experience in ranch and farm work. I'll "Get r Dun"

Certainly a Happy Anniversary, if you didn't know better, you wouldn't know it's been 7 years, the way you two work together, with the children, bins all look good, shame about the calf, but as you said, it happens
Sorry about the calf, but beanie weanies with nabs and a caring lady on a tailgate in the open air.....priceless. Hoping you and yours are having a great day. Thanks for sharing.
I'm so happy you quit the big city job and come home, without this happening we wouldn't have all your videos. Your son is getting so darn big. Kids are so quiet. Love ya all.
bins need anchors front to back, heavy wind will blow them over , I know Lawrence is thinking about it, maybe screw in trailer anchors with heavy cable, good luck.....stevie
We lost 2 calves, 12 ewes and 40 lambs this last 6 weeks 🙁. Not so good but lots of farmers have had similar dramas. Like you say it is part of it but not fun. Things look nice on the Bernard Farm. Glad y’all are doing well.
Hi Meredith, we're glad you took - risk and quit your job for a full-time farmer/farmer's wife. You've had quite a ride and your family is doing so well. Thanks for sharing your family with all of us. Much appreciated. Thanks!! - Dean from Minnesota
Speaking of eating from the lid ... I remember my Norwegian Grandfather, at the dining table, he basically always used his "butter knife" for eating .. my Mom used to talk bout his style, ... I don't ever recall him using any other utensil than his round tipped butter knife. I don't honestly know how he ate soup ... good memories.

Hey Meredith, those tailgate lunches and drinks you bring to LB means the world to him I bet! Because I know it did for me when my wife did it for me! Great times, hard times but love times ! Great video keep up the good work! God Bless
Good evening.... I really enjoy your videos of what farm life is really like.... I grew up working on a farm when I was young we did grain and feeder pigs in the late '50s early '60s... So much has changed since then... Your location really means a lot to me as I now live 15 miles north of Charlotte North Carolina and I really enjoy watching you and your family and what farming is like today... I see some things have changed but some things haven't... Please keep sharing cuz I really enjoy watching your videos... Have a blessed week and a successful harvest
You are a treasure for sure a breath of fresh air . I know its been trying at times but we win in the end . God has and will continue to provide if we follow his will. I just love you and your family . See if you can get LB to talk more , he always seems to be mad . Tell him to Smile God loves him and so does that beautiful woman he has .
Farming is a tough way of life the work never ends ,no matter what the weather is rain or shine , there is always something to be done ,let it be feeding stock or raking and rolling the days are never long enough . The financial return may not be great but we make do. Its a wonderful way to raise a family looking after the animals and taking care of the crops. You made the right decision to leave and start a new adventure your are doing a fantastic job be very proud of what you have achieved . Lawrence is a lucky man to have you by his side helping and supporting him. And your children are blessed to have you as their mum ...another fantastic video and yes calving time is great .

Glad to see the men's made her up and everybody was okay. 👍👍 To Lawrence for a skilled backhoe operations. Cut and beans today and laying down the last 25 acres of hay today we do have a slight chance rain this weekend and hopefully we can get the hay up okay it just takes so much longer when cools off. I hope everybody's remembering their thumbs up because you and your family do such a nice job videos. Waiting to see the big bin come and be put up.
Meredith, you did your job, Lawrence did his job, your boy,Wesley, does a great job, your daughter did a great videographer job and, from the looks of all of the newborns, the bull and the cows did their jobs too!
Nice time of the year to get your bins upright and more comfortable working on the hay. Congratulations on the seven year anniversary of you comming home for a different type of teamwork ,which benefits all of us to see you and your family keeping the farm growing. God bless you and your family!😀👍😎
Good evening Merdie and Family Awesome all the bends are up 😊 calf’s are coming and the hay is cut ❤️ Hello to Bonie 🤠 she’s such a sweet dog ❤️ Hope the rest of y’all’s week goes well 🙏🙏🙏 🤠❤️ Love Y’all...
Now that you have the bins up, get some rubber mallets for tapping the bins when emptying and hit the ribs of the hopper so you don't dent the sheet metal.
Another great video! I miss my farm 3500 acres, and we grew wheat, barley and peas. It was up on the high line in Montana but due to an accident I was no longer able to farm and your videos is very uplifting! Lawrence is a man of few words and is funny. I joined your channel not long ago and have never seen Lawrence pack a pistol. When we would go out and check crops or be in the tractor there was always a pistol and a rifle in the truck, combine etc. as we have coyotes, badger, mountain line black bear and grizzly bear. You are just a hoot, the southern accent and facial expressions are funny as heck. A great family channel and you have a great family as well! Keep doing what you're doing cause you're doing it right! Take care, stay safe and God bless!
Meridith...I think Wesley serenading us with his guitar would be fun too!!! Think it could possibly be in our future? Congrats on being a full time farm wife of 7 years and don’t ever look back because life is never as fun looking in the rear view mirror!!!:):):)
Meredith, I love your farm videos that include the scenic NC countryside, your family, the cows and the dogs. However, I do sense a feeling of melancholy when you describe the "corporate" job that you quit in order to build the life you are living. My experience with the corporate world was that it is very nonchalant and indifferent to human needs. I am glad that the third bin was safely raised as Bernard continues to fully utilize his backhoe. As members of the team, Austin and Wesley remain true stars in your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Clivitt...its called a clivitt...haha. Too funny. Old vid...when cutting hair use a spacer that comes with it when you bought it. Works perfect. Austin is a star wrangler. Thank you for your excellent vids.
Lawrence needs his own section of your videos where he gives life advice he sees the world the way my Dad did those men are a dying breed great video
The talks with Lawerance are just great. He's a no nonsense kinda guy with a bit of humor. You guy's have a great show.

God bless and be safe I have you all in my prayers
Love this simple life. You have such a good attitude
Nice time of the year to get your bins upright and more comfortable working on the hay. Congratulations on the seven year anniversary of you comming home for a different type of teamwork ,which benefits all of us to see you and your family keeping the farm growing. God bless you and your family!😀👍😎
Got the bins up nice. Sad about losing a calf. I'm enjoying the life of This Farm Wife. Beautiful Fall day in SW Ohio.

you will never go wrong trading a job for time spent with your family . LB and the kids are so much better off with you at home ! :)
Good evening Merdie and Family
Awesome all the bends are up 😊 calf’s are coming and the hay is cut ❤️
Hello to Bonie 🤠 she’s such a sweet dog ❤️
Hope the rest of y’all’s week goes well 🙏🙏🙏 🤠❤️ Love Y’all...
Now that you have the bins up, get some rubber mallets for tapping the bins when emptying and hit the ribs of the hopper so you don't dent the sheet metal.
I had a factory job in a sugar mill, I retired at 55 to farm full time and I don't miss it a bit !
So glad your with us instead of the corporate world. Keep em coming. ✌
