    Great in depth video! I LOVE this action!! I had the pleasure of using one at a long range shooting school where we were shooting at golf balls and clay pigeons at 1000 yards! Super smooth and precise!

    Hi Tristan, how did this build turn out in the end? What stock is it in the video you have used for the build?

      The comp rifle is in a MPA chassis and the hunting rifle is in a manners carbon fibre stock

    Do the terminus actions come with action screws? Some call them bottom metal screws or trigger plate screws. I’m ordering to Apollo and Zeus with quick change option and now looking into stocks and I just realized I didn’t see anything about them coming with action screws. If they don’t, what action screws did you use? Thank you in advance.

      Hi there mate,
      You know I can’t actually remember if they shipped with the screws to attach action to stock
      I would guess not! As depending on what stock you run you may need slightly longer or shorter bolts to fit correctly
      Whoever they are just normal Allen wrench bolts my back one was cut to fit snug.
      Good question thx.

    If you can get one I'm sure they're great. I ordered one and was told 6,8 week wait. Called at week 8... 2 more weeks.
    Called at week10... 2 more weeks. On and on until week 20 where I canceled my order. And just bought a curtis Valor. Joel of terminus worked for Curtis and where he got his design for the terminus from. Just save yourself a headache and buy a curtis. Original designer and a better business operator.

      I actually have done quite a bit of research in 3 lug actions for my build. Curtis was a great company because of Joel the maker of terminus. He was who you would speak to if you called into curtis. He provided the customer service and took the time to speak to us as we called in with questions. From what I have read and been told, Joel designed the action for curtis. He owns the prints. There were a few flaws that under the company he couldn't correct. This motivated him to go off on his own. I can tell you that the updated actions have a .725 bolt body instead of. 750 leaving extra metal on the floor of the action. This was done to correct a wear issue. Also the lug geometry was changed slightly. If you want something similar, sure buy a curtis. If you want an improved action that feels smoother and feeds flawlessly go terminus. I ordered mine yesterday. He takes care of shooters in the sport and veterans/law enforcement. Sorry they are harder to obtain. That should tell you something.

    • @tedpeek76
      @tedpeek76 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffstephens6099 it's not the wait that bothered me. It was the blatant lying. Had he said a year wait in the beginning, I would have waited. The product speaks for itself. I spoke with Joel every 2 weeks for months. Everytime he assured me, 2 more weeks. I'm self employed and know my my supply chain isn't up to par or running behind. I assume Joel has the same grasp of business. He flat out lied to me on numerous occasions.
      And the improvements you mentioned were also done on the vector, now called the valor.
      You said he takes care of shooters in the sport and law enforcement
      So the wait time should tell me something. Are you saying since I'm not leo or a prs series shooter, I'm less important as a customer and it's OK to lie about wait times and not keep your word?
      Curtis and terminus actions are the same animal, for reasons you mentioned above. But for me curtis has excelled at the customer service. While Joel has proven to not be a man of his word.
      As is the world, results may vary. I had a bad experience, others will have a great experince. I just know I'll never refer Joel and let anyone who asks know how things went for me.

    Nice review. What calibre is the prs rig? I'm assuming the action on the hunting rifle is a short action . The switch barrel option is a winner with this action from Terminus. Did the barrel come from the states with the chamber already cut for the 22-250 or did a gunsmith here in Aust do the chamber reaming? Did you wait very long for the import through Delta Tactical? Thx again for a great review. You've done your homework. Sorry for the 101 questions. Cheers.😎

      Hey buddy my Prs rifle is in 6 creed
      The hunting rifles barrel was chambered by my local gun smith group Solutions. Ordered the barrels via APRS did wait a while as they were relatively new so have 22-250 & 308 on hunting rifle.
      I do believe delta have carbon pre chambered barrels tho.

    Great reviews. I’m saving up for a March 1.5-15.
    Is that a light mount under the end of your stock? If so, what kind is it? I have just purchased an Acebeam L35 light and am wondering how to attach it more sturdily than using a clamp on my scope.

    Nice setup , check out American rifle company mags , Ted makes the feed lips shorter , meaning the round can catch the extractor sooner than the ACIS mags. The top round is lifted off the case underneath, instead of the shoulder and neck area.. they are built out of heavier metal as well.. I don’t use accuracy mags anymore ..👍😊🇺🇸

      This is my personal favourite don’t get me wrong a defiance two lug action with a 90° bolt lift is crazy smooth and tolerances are just wow, but this suits me better in a dirty dusty environment a defiance need to be cleaned more where this is a battle tank.
      Lots of quality actions out there all of them better than us it’s just a personal preference and what type of shooting your doing I guess

    • @precisionriflereviews2029
      @precisionriflereviews2029  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rickydowning7557 it is probably smoother but that comes at a cost you need to lift the bolt twice as far.
      The tolerances are much tighter which is great for a bench rest application.
      But many shooters have found in practical style shooting or hunting they require a lot of cleaning mid match to keep them running smooth.
      If you plan on getting it super dirty like hunting or PRS style shooting where you may physically not be allowed to touch your gun during the match other than shooting it. Those tolerances actually inhibit you

      @@rickydowning7557 I guess it depends on the use of the rifle I can assure you a full custom rifle is probably a better fit as you pic each bit to suit you perfectly.
      The A.I is like buying the best spots car, it’s factory perfect but not the best at any one thing.
      A custom rifle is heavy or light to suit your need
      Trigger is 1 or two stage as u can chose.
      The barrel is carbon or steel to suit you.
      If u were only hunting my set up in vid would be best as it’s as light as possible
      But it would be crap at prs or bench rest
      The A-I is a good all rounder but so is a Tikka CTR for 1/4 of the cost. Which given you are not getting the best of any one thing I would personally go for in this application
      Hope that is some help

    I’m planning on ordering 2 of the Zeus with the quick change. My question to you is, is there a accuracy difference between the action without the quick change? My only concern with the quick change is if it would be just as accurate as the one without as I’d love to have plenty of barrels in different chambers instead of so many rifles in different chambers. Thank you in advance for your time, and great video!

    • @precisionriflereviews2029
      @precisionriflereviews2029  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The true answer would be (consistency is accuracy)
      If you install the barrels to the same torque spec that same way every time and very consistently do it the same you will not notice any accuracy loss or point of impact shift, other than fall of shot from different calibres.
      I would also recommend very high quality gunsmithing.
