    This Castle from 1499 is the oldest nordic medieval fortress.
    It has been preserved for a long time ago!
    So that you can look in to the past...
    It's fascinated that you can be here today, and still be experiencing the past from so many years ago!!
    If you ever come close to this time preserved historic place, go there!!
    It's living history!!

      Spøttrup Castle in Jylland is far older, also built by a Danish nobleman (Johan Skarpenberg) and just as well preserved.

    This building must have been out of date already when it was built. It looks like it's from the 11th or 12th century.

    Until 1658 owned by great nobility from Denmark. Why? Because this great region was the core danish area until then 😢
