An old friend of mine had sent out invitations to the whole class for her birthday. Her parents got lots of treats and decorations, it was going to be this whole big thing! And when I got there, only I showed up. Worse, only one of the people who wasn't coming told her parents they wouldn't be there. Even now that whole situation feels terrible. Especially since I feel like it had something to do with her condition. We had fun together though and she seemed to still enjoy her birthday. I wonder how she's doing now...
