Way back in 75,when the new grass movement was really booming even in Osaka,Japan, I was there to just see J.D ,Tony ,Skaggs and Jerry.what a gorgeous set of band members!
This recording still shivers my spine. Many many thanks, Take san.

Thanks for the post Take. This is my favorite version of all J.D.s bands and boy they got right with it on this recording. I was also impressed with the clarity and quality of this recording. Thanks again, ken
I'm impressed with the Japanese interest in bluegrass music. They also have some great bands.

@@takeslivebluegrasschannel9763 Take, I've been enjoying your postings for years. You're by far the best. I'm always amazed at your collection of music. I greatly appreciate that your postings list each song by start location enabling me to easily replay my favorite selections. Do you remember when you learned that little ditty, LOL. It was quite awhile ago but I still remember.
I'm 77 years old and my health could be better but I love music, most especially blue grass, and listen when I can.
Thank you for your time, effort, and expense expended gathering your music collection and then posting for our listing pleasure. I've enjoyed so much music from your collection that I would otherwise never have heard. It's been wonderful. Again, thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Unless you need the money, I do find imbedded advertising objectional. You never did than in the past. I understand your resining but I rarely listen to those post a second time, especially at night, when I usually listen, while lying in bed. old friend ken.

Ken, thank you so much for all those nice words! I would highly recommend you purchase the Premium. It gives you a perfect listening environment with no advertising. It would cost you something like 10 dollars a month. I've been using this service for quite some time now and I really love it. Thank you for your continued support. :-) Take

Take, Firstly, Thank you for preserving what I believe to be the finest edition of any of jds bands down though the years. Although, the Keith years were their own special thing. Now, for some inside scoop that most may may be fascinated to hear. Thee Loar that Ricky played on this tour was later gifted from Skaggs to Jesse McReynolds to bring back too Japan to sell to help w some of Keith McReynolds outlandish health care bills. This comes from a very reliable friend of mine who worked for Jim and Jesse at the time. Say what you will about Skaggs but he did all he could and more than most to help a sick friend. Thanks again from Tennessee Take!

Is this Tony’s last performance with JD?

According to the book, Still Inside; The Tony Rice Story, Osaka was the last show that Tony played with New South... not sure how many shows that they played in Osaka. If this isn't the last, it certainly seems to be one of the last.

    東京公演より熱気がありますね。当時の日本のブルーグラスムーブメントが相当なレベルだったのが思い出されます。
