Corvette is lighter and used Pilot Sport Cup ZP (semi-slick) tires, the 812 uses P zero Corsa (road tires)... With a Pirelli Tropheo R (semi-slick) the Ferrari can be much much faster, but still, its a heavy ass, slow overpowered GT Ferrari, just like any other front engined Ferrari...
For a track, the mid engine are much best, and still get beaten by Lamborghini, Porsche and McLaren.
Luckily, Enzo is dead and will not witness such thing.
Ahahahah wtf?? Are you serious? GIULIA hot lap was 7:32.( no race tyres) and 812 SF is just 5 second faster? Mmmmm
So close to Raffaele de Simone's time! Good job guys!
Can Test DBS Superleggera?
Just got off the Pista hot lap video... This has been my favorite Ferrari but shit...that 488 is no joke
Try it again with slicks.
This thing has four wheel steering, insane traction control and also active suspension ...
And it was still a nervous mess on the track!!
Even S class has four wheel steering, active suspension, etc.! Clearly you're clueless about this car!
@@amarjit_singh_ My friend, the lap time set by this car is very underwhelming.
Across all the comments of yours I see you’re making very strong points. But you have to admit that the performance of this (frankly suberp, if I’m honest) car is LAME!
@@bhuuthesecond I already told you that a factory test driver who has done numerous laps on this track would do better, at least by 10-15s than what Christian Gebhardt managed here. But the main objective of this car isn't about setting lap times and all those driving aids and technologies are meant for the road. This what you aren't able to understand!
@@bhuuthesecond Also this isn't even using tyres that are meant for setting lap times. The P Zero Corsa tyres aren't the best tyres for track usage.
Looked very scrappy, understeer going into oversteer. Probably been lulled into seeing all those mid engined cars making it look planted. Excellent driver was on the limit though, at 9/10ths this car will probably look after you more.
Great engine as well. In summary this did not meet my expectations on how it drove, but still a great car that I could not take to it's limits and resort to being critical on TH-cam from my comfy sofa :)
Nice work sport auto, love these vids
Wow what a handful! Lots more understeer than I expected. I guess that’s due to the heavier engine upfront. He almost lost it around 5:40 or so. Watching the passenger display was kind of cool to see the gears and the speed comparison to the GPS unit.
Whenever a car underperforms, they call it a GT car. AMG GTR is no different than an 812 in usability, space, and luxury but is faster and easier to drive. For me, the distinction is 4 door sedan vs 2 door coupe
AMG GTR is a track ready car with Better aero, less weight. This car is heavier and doesn't have crazy aero.
@@HG504X harsher ride and inferior acceleration for the Merc. 0-200 in 7.9 vs 9.8 for GT R. It would be idiotic for a car called Super fast to blunt its acceleration with aero when any car under 8 minutes stock at the Green Hell can go faster down any real road than you could imagine.
the greatest V12 in the world.. MADE IN ITALY 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Not bad for a guy in a track suit
A Corvette Z06 is in this category of cars as well, but isn't anywhere near 300,000 francs.
Why not wait until it's 10c and do it, you'll knock 30 sec off. The cooler the better.
I think it is a bit disappointing. Considering the power it has, and the chassis it should have...Clearly could be in the range of 7.15...
The point of view from in car is so bad! This car and driver deserve so much more. Also, sound. This car on track sounds like an old school F1 car. Monumental. I appreciate this video but it doesn't do this setup justice.
Amazing oh là là là là là là là là là là là oh là là🤯
I know a lot of people have already said this but lets fill the comment page with it so ignorant fools can take a hint.
This is a GT car... it is not meant to be compared with performance supercars. It is not even created with this thing as a first priority.
Hopefully you'll get the memo one day...
It’s just funny when you call your car “Superfast” and you give it 800hp but you can’t do that much on the world’s most challenging track 😂😂😂
Someone explain. How giulia qv did 7,32 with 500 hp saloon. And 812 with 800 hp did Just 5 seconds faster.
I’m wondering the the same thing too!
this GT car sounds way better than a lot of the faster cars that use turbos
The lack of steering angle applied is insane!
I am sorry guys, but it was "slow", very slow in corners, and also max speed:
165km/h (corner Flugplatz) 182km/h (corner Schwedenkreuz) 158km/h (corner Fuchsröhre...) 305km/h (fast line Dötting er-Höhe)and I keep going and going...
Now you can blame the tyres, the driver, the car...wherever I dont care, it was slow.
My nerves got shattered just watching. It certainly appears to be a brilliant car, I do wonder what would be one's impression if he drove it daily?
*Dream Car*
the Fxx or GtO version of this GT car could be a rocket....
300 000 euros ferrari, 20 euros 360p dashcam. FFS.
The Porsche 911 GT3 got 7:12.7 minutes .... and it's got nearly 300 bhp less. I'm not saying this "grand tourer" is slow or anything 😒😒😒.
Gt3 is much more lighter and has more down force! 🤦🏻
812 Notsuperfast? haha, first of all, driver was not a professional racer, and 812 SF is GT car not a hardcore supercar like Huracan performante. All the environments were not good to fast record especially driver and tires.
Yeah and he did 7.04 in Pista . He is a pro driver :O
800 PS - und dann nur 7:27. Wie zum Teufel baut man eigentlich ein Auto, dass es solch eine Rundenzeit hinkriegt?
its not competizione
just did a 7:17 in asseto, cant imagine doing anything near that irl. I'm surprised the car got round being that heavy being weight down by your massive balls lol
I'm a pretty big Ferrari fan, I choose it over any other car maker, over Lambo, over Porsche, McLaren, and I get it its a GT car, but still I feel like it is kinda slow for what a machine it is!
Why did you choose Ferrari over these manufacturers?
305khh top speed? Why so slow?
Greiguci Wootchie I think they didn't want to risk
German driver is light on the throttle. Doesnt want it getting anywhere near the porsches and mercs. sandbagging at its finest.
Greiguci Wootchie
Top speed 360kmh the 812 superfast there is video
I AM SUPRISE!!!!!!!!!! Top speed 305 kms per hour vs 321 kms per hour for the pista.
Next Ferrari FXX
to much power for the p zero need cup2 or trofeo r i bet you can cut 10 seconds at least if given those tires instead
430.000 car / Galaxy ACE camera
When you're only 4 seconds faster than your little brother a family sedan giulia quadrifoglio
So are you telning me that Amg GTR is faster than the 812? Both are front engine and rwd. But the 812 has 215 HP more
The gtr has more downforce
Timevolent Is back even the mercede AMG GT 63s 4 door is faster
@@deedeee780 also down force and awd
@@deedeee780 No Ferrari is about same if you compare official factory times.
Isn't this guy sitting a little too close to the steering wheel?
Aristocrafied that is the correct „non-poser“ driving Position to transmit all the forces to the Steering wheel correctly while maintaining control. Its the First thing you learn when going to the Track.
@@smaxfpv1337 i thought the correct distance was arms stretched wrists on top of the wheel.. it looks here like this dude can barely fit his elbow around his side and his knees are all the way up on the dash.. looks quite unsafe to me in the event of a crash..
This car is a monster. Give to it more downforce and see the results then!
So a Corvette Z06 2017 is faster than a $400k US 812....wow....
But the 812 is a GT cruiser lmao. It is not designed for the race track and would demolish the z06 in a straight line. Also, not trying to be a snob but an 812 super fast cannot be compared to a Chevrolet.
This car can do 7:00 easily
does he ever once stop sawing at the steering wheel. ok fast time but not clean
Perfect driving! But C7 Z06 is the benchmark in this class. F812 is even slower than a one decade older C6 ZR1. Car looks much to nervous and bumpy for the Nürburgring similar to the 488 pista.
