just to set the record straight -- Lumad Basakanon is the only Hall of Fame awardee of the Aliwan Fiesta for having won the championship three straights times in 2006, 2007, and 2008. The award is granted to the participating contingent, not the festival. While Dinagyang may have won in 2010-2013, this was via different tribes (Paghidaet, Pan-ay,and Panay-anon).. Facts: Sinulog was the FIRST HALL OF FAMER AT ALIWAN FIESTA..... Plus 5 or 6 years na atang straight na from CEBU CITY ang ALIWAN FESTIVAL QUEEN...May sinabi ba ang beauties from Dinagyang? Asan sila?

Ug kuwang sa support ang dinagyang from there provincial government, ngano man wa nagsikat ang dinagyang? Kay daghan kaayo aspect lack sa price, 1M ang sa sinulog 100k ra sa dinagyang kaya gamay mo apil sayang sa effort sa contingent kung apil sila na kung ila gi gasto kay 300k para sa pagapil lang sa dinagyang diba walang profit sila kung 100k lang ang price. Tacky and boring. The colors were quite dull too. The concept was even copied from Festivals such as Buyogan and Dinagyang. But still, hats off to synchronization
their going back to tradition, andun ang basic steps, arm movement, may meaning na. Sila yung may solid veneration to Sr. Sto Niño na wala sa ibang contingent.
