So far this is the most exciting line from Barbie Extra for me. I like that they are more cohesive compared to the rest. I also love that they do not come with pets this time lol.
And also, not many repeated pieces. Just probably the choker. Even the pineapple looks different though it is still a pineapple drink.

This doll is definitely on my list - she looks so good and I love her outfit. I have to admit the bag is the only piece that I'm not sure about, but it doesn't put me off from getting her. I really want the Ken from this line too and the Barbie (winter holiday design). No idea when the Extra Fly dolls will hit Europe, hopefully before summer ends!
I've not seen the Extra Fly dolls anywhere at all after getting this one. I'm puzzled with the stocking process of these department stores. It's frustrating. She's an amazing one, I bet the rest are equally this good too. Looking forward to get the Teal Haired Ken. Will he ever be sold here, it's a torture to wait. Sigh
Never was a fan of beach dolls (maybe, Cali Girl is an exception). These outfits look too basic to me because it's only a swimsuit (sometimes painted on), pareo, and some small accessories. But this one is really that special to me. I really like this unique vibe she gives to me, and her outfit is so detailed and sophisticated, which is pretty rare for beach dolls. Her eye makeup is so beautiful, and I love the way they finally ditched pale lipsticks on dark-skinned dolls😀
I also love Beach Extra Fly doll, because I can see a message they were trying to tell young girls. Making an AA curvy doll in a swimsuit was the right choice, because it teaches children not to be ashamed of their bodies in summer and you don't have to look like a superskinny Victoria Secret model to be appropriate for a beach. If you want to have a beach body - just wear a swimsuit.
Oh yeah, I never thought abt the hidden message. Now that you've pointed it out, that seems right. To embrace our body size and that we can be be confident too when we're learn to love ourselves

I keep doll packaging and of the couple of Extra dolls I have, the pets are still in there; they're not unboxed. Just the dolls are, haha. I don't know what to do with the pets. I sort of forget they're there. They're cute, though!

@@ArtieArdee Ken is wonderful. If he had jointed ankles, his body would be just like the Model Muse Ken. Why does Mattel always hold back on articulation? Anyway, I love all the accessories, and his hair is nice and made of saran. I did a boil wash for him and trimmed the ends a little. But I do that for almost all my Barbies.

I like that they gave her a more neutral lip color instead of a bright pink. She is a bit too extra for me, but I like certain outfit pieces, such as the coverup.
Perhaps too many colours on a doll? She's more colourful than the Barbie Extra Fancy, the curvy one which wore green theme with gold and orangy accesories

@@ArtieArdee at least you have yours first, here in United States we have to wait 7-10 business days. And it costs more if you want the doll immediately (10-15 American dollars overnight). I usually wait until they're in the stores.
I just found one with huge discount and ordered as a body donor but had no idea her feets are flat ☹
Whats sad to me is that where i live, we never get all the dolls in each line, only 2 or 3
I gotta wait for these dolls to come to my country, or I would opt for Amazon.com. Sometimes my country does not these dolls at all
I would take all her necklacess and the plastic belt. It's way too much. Also, I'm not a fan of the skirt.
