This was never really written as a band music release, it was written to be music for a critically acclaimed TV series called Iris, about secret agents. TOP played the role of an assassin in the actual series. This version was for the Japanese release of the series. i think the lyrics are about the two main characters, who want to be together but one is saying tell me goodbye because if you stay with me, your life will be in danger . Poignant. (Btw, TOP won the Blue Dragon Award in 2010 for best new actor for another role - 71: into the fire, recommend you to react to "eng sub TOP talks about his acting on Nan - it's funny - bet you smile.) BIGBANG also wrote a song called Hallelujah for the Korean version of the series and the music has a different feel (maybe cultural?) They did a good live performance of it during the Bigbang show 2010 - good to react to as a contrast? Also maybe check out TOP's solo from that show - act like nothing's wrong. Song based on TOP's breakup from his girlfriend when he went to join YG as a rookie - so it is very personal. He didn't say who she was, but he stopped performing it live when she got married.
