      Not only that but after bills people are lucky to save 10k a year now. That’s 100k in 10 years and 400k in 40 years. The median bank account in the us is 8k the average is 62k and that 62k is skewed by the rich. You can find a small town in the us or Europe and easily live 30-40 years with 375k. If the guy had a wife and kids he’s at least 35-40 years old and most people live to about 75-80 years old. Ocho ain’t usually right but here he’s spot on. In Romania, you get 7 percent yield by investing into government bonds. That's 26.25k a year for 375k invested. A 1 bedroom apartment is 500-600 USD/month in the good areas(new buildings). 2 bedroom is 800 USD/month. With a parking spot. That leaves you with roughly 17-19k for expenses which is around 1.5k per month. More than enough to live a good life as a single man. Unc is out of touch. Ocho is right, but you need to invest those 375k.
      Thailand can be even cheaper for cost of living.

    • @brosmile9388
      @brosmile9388 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@raz2102 Oh my, another one.... The initial fact is that you are ON THE RUN!!! You might not even have access to the stashed money without involving other people. That in it self is high risk. You have to move around and hide with this money... Do you think you can just throw it in a suitcase and get on a plane???!!! You're supposed to be dead. You can't use a passport...dead guy. You can't use any form of ID that is traceable. No "7 percent". You're hiding from family as well, so no help there. If caught, you need to be in a country with no extradition treaty.

He said no matter how much you make live like you aint got it and you will always know the real cost of living. 375k isnt a lot but if spent properly it can get you by for well over 30+ years. Plus the median is 59k that means the majority are between 30-40k a year whereas the high end are between 70-80k. Thats how you get the median.

I also tried to save 10% of my take home pay. There were about 10 years out of 28 where my pay was in the $65k-$70k range and after witholdings and savings I was bringing home about $27-$32k a year. There it is right there unc!! To be honest Ocho right about this one! Most people won't have 400k in a retirement when you do the simple math over 20-30 years. 99% of people can't contribute the max like you could out your big game checks. 60k per year is about 40k after taxes. Max IRS contribution is 24k. That leave you with 16k to live! 24k saved 15 years is 360k...it ain't happening!! 375k whether the rest of your life or next 6 years is alot of money for us 99%

    There are people in the world that live off less than $375K USD in a lifetime. I think Unc is thinking living in the United States and he would be correct. $375,000 sounds like a lot of money, and it is for a yearly (or over a couple of years) salary. But over a lifetime (50+ years) in America, you may survive but you wouldn’t be enjoying life. You’d be living day to day, penny pinching. That’s not living to me, that’s just surviving.

    $375,000 divided by the average annual US salary of $59,384 is just barely over 6 years. His money is static while the price of everything will also increase over the years. Even if he could stretch out the money, it's not gonna be enjoyable.

      You're going to end up being the wealthiest homeless guy ever, if you attempted to go over to Europe with 375k and nothing else. Most businesses in Europe won't even allow for employment with foreigners without a work visa, much like America.
      Hopefully, you speak the language of where you're settling into. Let's say you do, then you'll have to find housing. Housing that won't ask for any ID, on what would have to be a full payment.... Good luck with that. You'd be lucky to rent, which means you would have to get a job.
      Say you get a job. It would have to be entirely under the table work. Meaning that your "employer" could stiff you anytime they wanted, and there's nothing you can do about it, since you're not paying taxes and there's no legally binding contract you can use, and you can't get the law involved, because you're supposed to be dead.
      Unc is completely right about this. Chad is disagreeing because that's what he does 😂
