You are taking a long walk. If you got the local bus to Florida mall go down to the Dillard’s end, come out of their doors across the car park turn right and you will see Target. It’s just as good as Walmart and would save you a long walk across that busy highway.
They need to copy the Vegas strip and build pedestrian bridges over these intersections on I-Drive. One is being planned for the one near the big McDonald's.

Me and my cousin did exactly the same walk you did at night. But we made the mistake not having a uber for way back to hotel. Feeling excruciating pain in the legs and feet i think, was an understatement. Lesson learnt.
FYI, Walmart is well known in the RV community that they welcome overnight parking.Most places in the states dont allow overnight parking on city streets.
That takes me back me and my daughter did that walk from Endless Summer in August it nearly killed me ! But we stopped to help an American disabled guy I ended up carrying his very heavy bag we walked him to I think Costa or Starbucks. He was on crutches so I had to try and hold the traffic up to let him cross as he wasn’t quick enough 😢. I think Uber next time 😂

March break I was staying in Kissimmee took my car to pep boys of 192 in celebration, I was dumbfounded when I realized that I couldn't walk back along 192! Had to get an Uber back to Westgate, It would have taken me 8hrs to walk back cuz u can't walk along world drive either. Wow
Visited I-Drive early last month and it was way too hot for such a walk lol. Uber, the I-Trolley and Mears Coaches were great. How would you rate Rosen Inn by the way?

We do enjoy the walk oddly, and it's become a bit of a tradition for us now. I first did this last year as I was asked by a few people on some FB groups I'm in if I could record it and it got over 10k hits. If you're going to walk to Universal leave hotel straight onto Drive and turn left walk up IDrive past Dunkin Donuts until come to KFC, turn left at lights ( cross the road) nice walk to Universal past the lake, its safer that way

Nah all wrong , out of rosen inn cross rd at international drive at sand lake rd walk all the way up west on sand lake rd walking on your left hand side , walk up to the i4 bridge and cross over at the junction at sand lake and turkey lake rd when you crossed the junction turn left at turkey lake rd and walk all the way down to a set of shops walk past the dollar tree and other shops and Walmart will come in to your view and boom your there , a beautiful walk to be honest , don’t TOUCH ANY TAXIS PARKED OUTSIDE , THEY ARE UNINSURED AND EXPENSIVE, UBER , LIFT ARE YOUR BEST BET
You order from where you are to where you want to go. If you want to go back i guess you would have to order another Uber I'm not sure how you would order one to wait while you did what you wanted. I don't use local taxis as there are so many Uber Nd Lyft you are never waiting longer than 5 mins and you know the cost up front

I biked that route to Walmart and crossing that ramp to I-4 south is pretty scary --- BE CAREFUL because people drive like maniacs in Orlando!
Yeah it's a bit crazy and I've seen the new roadworks there that looks like they've made it worse for walkers. I will be checking it out next trip

Its fine walking there but not much fun on the way back, we have done the walk back with groceries but I wouldnt advise it.

Not all Walmarts welcome overnight parking --- you will get the dreaded knock on the door if you stay in one that prohibits it

It's a decent walk, We usually get a drink from Wholefoods on the way to Walmart 😁

May be getting a car next year, I've driven lots in Orlando but I've always stayed in Davenport and you need a car when you're that far away

Does Uber and Lift take you directly back to your location? What about phoning the local taxis?
