- Hey guys welcome to todays video where I attempt to tell you guys the worst thing about every single Nintendo franchise. Of course I did reach a bit and nitpicked to really pinpoint some negative aspects of the series. Please comment, like and subscribe! AlSO ENJOY!

The worst thing about the Mother franchise is Mother 3 still isn't localized.
No, the worst thing is that Mother 3 wasn't truly "finished" and it has a lot of cut content and chapters (*cough* hence leder's info dump). The other worst thing is that the original n64 version got cancelled, which, personally, I think it looked much better, much "darker" and I think that version had it been released, it would've revolutionized the early era of 3D RPGs.
Honestly I don't want an official mother 3 localisation. If Nintendo ever made one, it would most likely be heavily censored and won't be as good as the fan translation we've already got.

@@FindingsOfAnArmouredMindnah, Mother 3 is a game that knows how to balance imout its silly and more important element really well. EN 64 doesn’t have nearly the same charm M3 has.
The worst thing about Fire Emblem is that some of the early games aren’t officially localized, despite being generally agreed to be masterpieces.
To be fair fire emblem nearly died 10 years ago because of low sales so them not bringing over their old stuff makes sense
DK needs a new 3D entry... Retro Studios did a great job revitalizing DK Country, but now they can take it up a notch with a 3D world
They may be in a bad spot since they have to work on Metroid prime 4 and dk at the same time and the quality may sugger

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I'd rather like to see another DKC. For me, Tropical Freeze is the best 2D Platformer ever created and I really want a new entry bc I know how good the quality of this francise is. We have so many good 3D games on the Switch, but DKC is the only truly awesome 2D one imo, so it would be sad to see that gone. Also, for me personally, "3D" does not equal "better".

If you're calling it *every* franchise i wish you would include Mother, Kid Icarus, Xenoblade, Chibi-robo, and Fire Emblem at least in every video. Also Star Fox is not an rail shooter thats something different.

Nah dude, I have another complaint, in ocarina of Time, I got stuck in one part of the game and have no idea what to do and how to get out, and no, it's not the water temple, I hate how many puzzles there is in Zelda games that aren't passable if you don't have a guide or watch gameplay

“Terrible levels” shows Water Temple. It’s not a terrible level at all. It’s confusing at times, but it’s far from a terrible level.
Did you play it on the 3ds version? Because if so it's much easier there because you can instantly switch your boots on and off rather than having to repeatedly open the menu to do so in the original
@@dazcarrr yup!! I think the 3DS version made me appreciate the dungeon more. They probably could’ve added the color coded water level switches into the original. But still it’s not nearly as hard as people act.
@@Jaegerborni do agree, the only real problems with water temple are some annoying controls, an slightly unintuitive mechanics, because on the 3ds its actually a good dungeon

Coming from someone who's played a lot of MKT over the last couple of months, I respectfully disagree with you on some of your points about the game.
For starters, the controls really aren't so bad once you get used to them; in fact, I'd say they're probably the easiest to understand and the most accessible out of every game in the franchise. There's no overpowered "snaking" like in DS, no wheelie chains like in MKW, and no ridiculous wall techs like SMK and MK:SC. Next, I think the microtransaction model in the game is actually pretty fair; while you do have the option of spending a lot of money to unlock characters, you'll also unlock a ton of characters, karts, and gliders just by playing the game. The one I will agree with you on has to do with the gold pass. Locking 200CC behind it is a bit of a pain, and as a casual player there's not a whole lot that I actually get out of it. (Still, it's just a few dollars each month)
i sort of agree with the pokemon one. i dont really like hard things, but i need at least some challenge! even the leon fight and eternatus fights were easy.
when they talk about animal crossing, it's probably just new horizons
No Paper Mario? The worst thing about that franchise was when they changed to the Sticker Star model.
Zelda games aren’t called "Zelda" they’re called "the legend of Zelda" so it’s dumb to compare it to calling Mario games peach because it’s "super Mario", so it’s logic that we don’t see Zelda that much if she’s a legend

I really hope Starfox isn’t a franchise known to be a one-hit wonder in the future because I do genuinely enjoy Starfox Assault.
The worst thing about the F-Zero franchise is how cool it desperately tried to be with those futuristic cars, instead ending up being weird and unenjoyable
Also I have to agree 100% on everything you said about Smash. The only way I can follow and even see my character in the tournament mayhem is by picking ness, and sadly spamming PK fire until it hits someone and the lingering fire informs me of where I am. I didn't want to be the PK Fire spamming menace to society, but it is the only way I can even play tournaments

Agreed! Though I think maybe we expect too high for the devs and Nintendo probably doesn't want to be risky anymore like the 90s (or pokemon has replaced Mario and Kirby as test tube subjects for wierd concepts)
The worst part about Mario is how much it insists on not having any semblance of a story

@@FindingsOfAnArmouredMind I was mostly talking about the main games and odyssey is just Bowser kidnapping peach but with the wedding theme. Galaxy doesn’t have that much of a story either

I like the Mario party games where all characters move together rather then the ones where they don’t
I agree with the Flaw in Mario. Me and my sister used to play and I got good so I would be really fast but had to go slow and ended up dying a ton
Edit: Also pokemon is so easy I pretty much avoid all battling outside of requirement to feel like I could actually lose

The worst thing about every Nintendo Multiplayer Game is the lack of a good online support.
Stupid friend codes and lags are the worst.
Pokemon swsh was so easy that my at the time 4 year old sibling was able to make it halfway with little to no struggles in fights. Keep in mind he had never played a turn-based rpg in his life.

When you realize the only Zelda game you actually control Zelda in is in Spirit Tracks and she has to take the form of a Phantom to even start to control her.
You can control actual Zelda in the beginning sneaking around the castle, but yeah.

For me, the problem with the Super Mario franchise, specifically the New Super Mario Bros games, is that there is nothing original to it. They are always bringing back the same music style, same graphics and the same level design. It's really frustrating when they keep bringing back the Koppalings and they make their fights barely different from each other.

I've always thought that the legend of zelda is named because it's Zelda telling and recording the story. And we're reliving it through reading it from the royal library or something
To be fair all they'd have to do to make the new Pokemon games more challenging despite how quickly you can raise the levels of your Pokemon it's just make the trainers you go against have higher level pokemon. That is what I saw the problem because honestly if you want to play Pokemon competitively online unless you want to hack the game and just have a bunch of Pokemon that are already level 100 or use an action replay like I did in the DS Pokemon Black where my experience points was multiplied by like 1,024 or something, it just takes too long to get the amount of Pokemon you want for doing online battles. Yes you can only carry six but you're not going to always use the same six.

I very rarely comment on anything but I have to take issue with your comments about both the Yoshi and Pokemon franchises.
Yes, Yoshi is a bit more kid friendly but it’s encouraged both my wife and my younger brother into gaming and they love it,
As for Pokemon, is Sword or Shield really that less difficult than other entries? I’ve played them all and honestly the only major benefit is that you now get told what is and isn’t super effective.
Your other criticisms are fine and I really enjoy your work, but I think nitpicking at these games for being accessible isn’t their greatest flaw.
The difficulty of Pokemon games is something TH-camrs like to pretend is a huge flaw and that it's gotten drastically easier over time but in reality Pokemon has always been pretty easy

I mostly disagree with the Yoshi one. The only difficulty in that series comes from completing the game 100%, so simply running through the levels is pretty easy (even in Yoshi's Island). If you want a harder time, try completing Woolly World 100%

Hey pikmin isn't nececerily a bad game, it has a few really good moments, only the gameplay doesn't fit the pikmin series, that's why the reviews aren't good.

I like the way the chaos of the multi-player Mario games work and don't particularly care about something being challenging so Mario gets a pass for me.
I agree on the Zelda take, but I think a secondary issue with the series is that everyone always loves the worst games in the series lol.

As for Metroid, I don't think it is popular in Japan, especially the Prime series. Another one that has gone down is the RPG Mario type, Mario RPG, Superstar saga, etc and Paper Mario

I don't think fog of war levels are inherently bad in fire emblem. It's just the game you showed, Fire Emblem 7, has some really bad ones. You usually just have to be more cautious in them, but Battle before dawn forces you to rush in. I think a more solid problem with Fire Emblem is there being no single, definitive game far better than the others. It's not necessarily a completely big problem, but it's tricky to recommend fire emblem games that everyone would like when each game usually has at least one substantial problem, like a bad story, or being too easy.

I honestly don’t get all the hate for Starfox Zero. It took some getting used to but I actually ended up loving how I didn’t have to switch views from 3rd to 1st person, just needed to glance at either the TV or game pad. I thought it was convenient. Also I thought the game itself was super fun and the variety of vehicles great
