Honestly I love both the copywriting and stay-at-home-mom content! I want to have my first baby within the next 5 years or so, and I'm currently transitioning to freelancing full-time from home. So seeing how you balance your work life and personal life in the day-to-day is extremely helpful and insightful for me!
@@carrieblogger I'm so glad I could make your day. You seem like such a genuinely good person, I already respect you a lot. Keep doing what you're doing, remember that you're a rockstar!
I've been watching your videos for at least a year and a half at this point, and I don't think one particular style of your "day in the life" videos has been better than the others. This one, though, was rather interesting in that it really gave a sense of the time passing through the day before the copywriting work kicked off in earnest. It also shows what a healthy work-life balance can be with plenty of parenting / housework being addressed, a couple solid hours of focused work, and then full-on family time in the evening. It's the kind of life that most folks - at least here in the U.S. - strive to have. Over the long term, it's also been really enjoyable to see how your work schedule ebbs and flows through the major life changes (new home, new baby, etc.) Some TH-cam creators produce content that feels very scripted, and actively works to hide any challenges or stressors. There's an authenticity to your videos that's definitely appreciated, and I think you'd have a hard time turning away any long-time viewers of your videos. Keep up the awesome work, Carrie!
This format is great.. it gives us a vibe of how your day went …yet 👆🏻ur detailing everything in a simple and exciting way… would love to see more of this ❤❤🎉🎉😊
I like the common denominator of the videos = Carrie The different angles of the home lifestyle of an experienced copywriter and real human. The day to day, the full picture of it all is better than any course because it’s inspiring.
I started for the copywriting stuff and also ended up staying for the mommy-blogger stuff just as much. I have found this small and sweet niche, and I love it.
To answer your "who are these videos for?" question: I'm not a parent, but I love these videos because I see them as an example of what life could look like someday. (I don't mean that in a corny way.) Most people in my life have/had traditional 9-5 jobs, so seeing someone live their life and work outside of that schedule shows me that I don't have to schedule my own freelance days "corporately," and I may never have to while freelancing. I personally don't like to work until 1pm (so I can either sleep until lunch or have a morning to myself), but I tend to feel like I'm "wasting" my day by not starting work at 9am. Your videos are always timely reminders that there's no reason to feel guilty about starting work when I want to!
An awesome "Day in the life" documentary and I appreciate you sharing your memories and personal schedule to inspire us and motivate us to do more with our time. You are a master of time management as being a mom and a freelance professional at the same time isn't easy. I love the mommy content and the freelance tips both! It's true that we must make vlog for ourselves. These are not just vlogs but also precious memories for future! Keep up the good work, Carrie!
Yeah! I weirdly remember the days that I filmed and edited, so just the act of making the vlogs helps me remember little day-to-day details over the years!
Great video - and I can so related on many levels. First off - sooner than it feels, your kiddo will be in school and your daytime will suddenly be alone. When my youngest was a baby, I was the primary caregiver. Your video takes me back to those days where I would give him bottles and then he'd nap in my lap while I watched Netflix. (And in variably, he'd fall asleep and I'd have to pee so I'd hold it for an hour....) I dig the every hour check in b/c it provides a quick snapshot of the evolution of your day. How many times do we plan a day only to have those plans be dashed by reality? Often! It's helpful to see how you pivot and prioritize. I especially LOVE your approach about wanting to be joyful when your son wakes up instead of annoyed. I was pretty lucky in that we had a very tiny daycare that a fellow mom ran, so I would have my son in that three days a week. This gave me windows of "me" time as well as work time. Then on Tuesdays and Fridays, I'd have him all day - so I would focus on him and cleaning the house. Great video!
Aw that’s so nice! Thanks! And yeah - I feel like my bladder has gotten stronger haha so many times that baby says ‘nope, if you want me to sleep you’ll have to wait.’ 🙃
I loove your content!!❤️ Both stay-at-home-mom and copywriter stuff- I love how down to earth and real you are and I'm super impressed by how you manage it all! I'm not a mom yet, just copywriting, but I love to see that it's possible. You make me excited for my future🥰
That’s a great video! Light, fun and it’s good to see the human side of the person too. In my opinion (random person on the internet lol) you should definitely keep it up. Your way of life is definitely an inspiration to us that wants to walk the unconventional path. The no working during mom duty is a great concept and hiding the face of your baby is so well thought of. I will be interested to learn more about the business slowing down, what do you mean by that and you should definitely get Apple to sponsor your videos!
Hi Carrie, it's very interesting that you talk about Fiverr business stalling. The same thing happened to me in September, I had six orders in total and two weeks were I didn't have a single order. Then, Fiverr messaged me and asked me to join Seller Plus, which I reluctantly did. And guess what I'm on schedule to have my best month in Fiverr ever. Mmmm seems a bit strange, don't you think. But I must say I have found Seller Plus features to be very helpful. Have you joined the program?
Hi Carrie Can you please make a video about your thoughts on how actually to be a good writer ? I am willing to put in the work but in the online world there is so much misinformation and misguidance, I would really appreciate if you could share some wisdom on how to write well. I wanna start on Fivver and offer copywriting services but would like to actually build a good skill first. Hope this reaches you. You are an inspiration btw :)
Definitely check out my mini course on Fiverr learn - bit.ly/carriebloggercourse And this playlist of videos th-cam.com/play/PL_g3AMKzdJ67qSShErvVDa4M35sSU3qWh.html In a nutshell, master every little teensy grammar thing, place yourself in the shoes of your reader, adapt to the format, and create conversational, clear writing that flows. Those are the goals!
So far, haven't seen a vid I didn't like. You are doing fine. Organizing releases tension, self-therapy concept. I don't like being interrupted during a big project, bc I can't stand for my concentration to be broken. Just destroys the moment for me. Looks like your son should be running & opening doors anytime now.
Just got dropserviced by a Top Rated Seller. Kinda upset they get the credit (and the money) but hey at least I know someone would pay more for what I write.
I just have an issue with customers not having accurate, honest information to make an informed decision. Not saying who the actual writer is is different than flat out lying about who it *is* /rant
@@carrieblogger I agree, if it was presented as a "team of outsourced writers curated by me" or something it would be fine, but it's definitely presented as solo work. Side note the buyer left them a review saying "really makes a difference working with a Fiverr Pro!" like... yeah i bet lol

Mmmmmaybe the Fiverr gods are smiting me for quitting Fiverr plus after the promotional credit they gave me to try it ran out.
Carrie do you have a team or do you manage to make six figures as a solopreneur? Which can be a bit hard with balancing these gigs
Justtttt me - all me. And if I ever did work with a team, it would be obvious and honest.
