Excellent. It worked. I have removed Chatter profiles from Record Type. I have also made record type inactive but still unable to delete as it shows other dependencies like: Picklists Available for Editing.
Could you post the URL you are using? Cause on the Profile page I dont have that 'Record Type Settings' view. I have to select and object and then update the Record Type settings there. But that method gets me a 'Insufficient Privileges' error. Even though I am a System Admin. I am able to set the assigned & defaulted Record Type on other profiles, but not on the Chatter ones.
