She was led of the Holy Spirit to the meeting She had been given a task declaring Him as Messiah She had experienced forgiveness In His grace and mercy towards her She knew who He was
Perfect for worshiping Jesus LORD of Lords on Pentecost today! Hallelujah for forgiveness!! And now I enter this new day in Peace that passes all understanding. . . .
The jealous of the ones that had the sins monopoly it's notorious . The Temple and the priesthood was keeping an eye on Jesus. They couldn't control Him.
So someone can have a little love and be forgiven though? Is that what it’s saying? Or is it that you could have only some sins forgiven but since not all you go to hell?
When Jesus forgives he forgives! Being God he made Christ sin for us... he forgives past, present and future sin. Yes! A person can have all sin forgiven but love God little in return. Whilst another who recognises the depth of their wickedness, through possibly thousands of sins, can appreciate the depth of the forgiveness that is extended to them and love God more. But certainly no matter what the depth of our sin, we can all forget what Jesus has done for us. They are no more deserving of forgiveness than a person who has sinned less. They simply appreciate and understand the depth of God's mercy and love through his capacity to have forgiven them of a larger amount of sin. It's more about the one who has sinned more recognising, once forgiven, the depth of God's love for them as a sinner. There's always that human tendency to think we are not as evil or sinful as people who have e.g., physically murdered someone or stolen etc! And yet we are all equally capable and if we have hated in our hearts we are guilty of murder. So the concept I think is about recognising the depth of our sinfulness in the presence of a holy God. If we have lived a 'good' life we tend to think we are not too bad. And so we don't as easily recognise just how sinful we really were off we sinned less.
Interesting how when we read this recount in the life of Jesus that the prostitutes sins were forgiven due to her faith prior to Jesus declaring to her that her sins were forgiven. St. Luke 7:47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven -as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little." St. Luke 7:48 Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."
Who is the master of the house.?. No one comes to god except the spirit draws them ..to be prophicyied to ..only god can forgive sins . especially not hypercritics
Keep the Commandments of God along with your faith in His Son Jesus Christ if you wish to make it to the Kingdom of Heaven. Matthew 5:17-19, Luke 16:17, John 14:15,21 , Matthew 19:16-19, Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:36, Matthew 13:41, Romans 2:13, Hebrews 4:9-13, James 1:22-25, James 2:14-26, 1 John 2:3-7, 1 John 3:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Revelation 12:17, Revelation 14:12, Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, 1 John 2:17, Revelation 22:12-14
If Jesus forgave the woman - then clearly Jesus must be a false prophet. Because according to Christian doctrine - God says that sins will be punished. Yet - everything that Jesus taught was all about LOVE - which is the opposite of wrath.
@@jonathanpochuryjonathanpoc7003 From the standpoint of God, redemption is not necessary, everyone is already (Unconditionally) Forgiven from on high. The teachings on Forgiveness is about (Uncondtionally) Forgiving ourselves and others, so that we can move on and not remain stuck in a pain of the past. Jesus did not come to redeem humankind from Satan, that would required Jesus to annihilate Satan - who is perfectly designed to do what he does. Even if Satan could be annihilated, Jesus would not annihilate what God created. Jesus came to teach humankind how to free themselves, to teach humankind how to dethrone Satan and return to (Unconditional) Love. Satan, through the voice in our head, tempts us to go against our divine nature - to go against (Unconditional) Love. Satan, through the voice in our head, tempts us to act selfishly and short-sightedly to do what is in his self-interest, rather than what is best for the whole to which we are intimately and inextricably connected. When we go against the whole and harm others, we also harm ourselves. "Sin" is like hitting ourselves, because we also suffer when we cause others to suffer. This is one of humankind's primary lessons. Which is why: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you," work so well as a guideline.
"The Forgiven Woman (Luke 7:36-50)" Kind Sir...those verses describes the love of Jesus.perfectly...that few other words.... Could ever come close. Praise His Holy Name. Because Jesus IS the only true God Almighty; there will ever be. Amen! Now there is another situation; during Jesus' fleshly "being" on earth; when He showed AND chastised sinful people; who were going to stone a "sinful" harlot! When Jesus said in... John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Sadly she, in all likelihood, went right out and did it again. And probably; for the rest of her "able" life. Because her income was from harlot-ting. And as most harlots say "I must do this to live". Which Jesus, essence, would say, "NO woman! For, there is NEVER a good reason to sin; for ANY thing. For I fed 5,000 hungry people; with ONLY 2 Fish and 5 Loaves of Bread". "Thus, I will do that for ALL harlots too; IF...you come to me sincerely; confessing your abominable sins; and asking me to forgive you. Then I will do the same as the fish scenario, etc...

Do you have faith in Christ and truly love the children of God? The Hebrew Roots Movement doesn't have the " truth."
None of us can keep the 10 commandments perfectly. That is why we accept Jesus's gift of salvation.
