Payo has nice conditional formatting for when his is playing rogue. But his mage conditional formatting is swiftly/athene tier....it’s like he can’t apply all his lessons learned to the opposite class
I was high skilled rogue in TBC. I totally don't get why so many rogues now open on msges with garrote. Just Cheap, he will prolly stay in it, then Kidney, he will blink, then you Step and continue punching him.

But they instantly get nova'd by Elemental or slowed by Frost armor, sometimes before even applying Crippling poison. Even if they do apply it, it's usually via Shiv. Shiv costs as much as Hemo, right? Except it does no damage. All of this feels like overengineering. I suggest trying Cheap + Kidney. That used to be my default opener and I never complained fighting frost mages. Also, if you duel one, IMO best is to equip Crippling poison on both weapons. Mind Numbing is awesome, but having mage slowed all the time without ever using Shiv seems better choice.

I always thought payo was ironically being this stereotypical toxic classic player, but he legit is just a toxic player that cant not be salty, xar is the most wholesome dueller in this game who is giving payo more attention than he deserves, i hope this is just to get some of payos viewers tbh.

From talking to the highest skilled TBC rogues the garrote opener is more effective - I haven't personally tried the cheapshot opener though

So auto attack doesn't break Sap, you don't need to do it quite like Xaryu is, but it's better than not doing it at all.
He got an extra energy tick from degree garroting it's the bleed which breaks sap.
The good angle for that is moreless 45 degree.
