Thank you so much for this video! I made a career switch to grooming and it's much harder than I imagined. It can get mentally draining dealing with aggressive dogs and also explaining over and over to owners that the little bit of matting they told me about when booking the appointment is actually extensive and severe and there is no other option but to use a #7 or #10! Kudos to you Amy; you are so great both as a groomer and in dealing with people!!

I really love that you address the dogs needs. People love dogs, but some of them seem to have a hard time understanding how it is to walk a mile in their shoes.

We lost Teddy a few months back, it was shortly after his 18th birthday. Needless to say, it was a difficult time and still is. Hope all is well. Take care
One of the best pieces of advice I ever got about client management was to fire 3 clients a year. Seriously. Do it. If the client cries and you’re feeling generous, tell them their price will go up 50% and exactly why. Be specific. They will either pay it (AND usually become a much nicer client) or go elsewhere. You win either way!

I really liked this video. Can you expand on it more in our Monday videos? Just what must you go through if a dog comes in and has flees to prepare your shop for the next dog? I can only guess there must be alot, your tools may have gotten infected and much more. If you have a dog that may not aggressive but are nervous about having it's paws shaved, nails done, or butt area shaved and move around a lot. How do you handle this and why or what could the additional charges be? I think I had other questions watching this but can't remember, can you review and expand on this video.
'they get 2 chances when it comes to a no show. Then I refuse to rebook them. I charge at least 25 dollars for no show and sometimes more depeding on the groom time needed to accomidate.
