back tail slides, back smiths, back nose grinds, 360 flips, pop shuvs, 360 oillies, blunt slides, back lips slides, nose blunt slides, front side hand rails.....best days of my life. Everybody watched this religiously. H street was our religion.
I remember this song was stuck in my head for years back when I was 11. Now 25 years later its in front of me on my iPad at 5am because I don't have to work today but I can't sleep late. I guess it will be stuck in my head for the rest of my life.
Jay Eff I know the feeling. A lot of things change when your an adult. Im glad this time in my life wasn't one of them. I'll never forget putting in the h street hokus VHS tape in for the first time
This song has played in my head so many times over the last 30 years, and I knew it was from skate video, so after laying in bed this morning I finally hunted it down. Funny to see there are others out there that have had this song stuck in their heads.
2024 and still takes me back to Matt hensley! early 90's were the peak of skating for me. H street changed how things were done, just like the Forum 8 did for snowboarding! so so good! shaped my youth!
I remember skating up J st. chula Vista, In San Diego ,Around 1990 to see these guys "Sub society" with a group of friends . They played in a garage. Hilltop Area. I was 13 y o. Good times!
I have occasionally played this song in my head/sung it to myself starting at the :30 second mark for nearly 30 years. It's been so long since I even remembered where I first heard it, but I randomly decided to hunt it down with Google this morning.

It's funny. Our guitarist Tommy was in an anarco-punk band called Subsociety in nor cal. Looked everywhere to see if anyone else had the name but found nothing. Later, watching Hokus Pokus, an all time favorite, heard this song and saw it was Sub Society. Sounded NOTHING like this band, more like Crass, but still they were hoping they wouldn't get mixed up.
sure is a shame i can't find the track sleep talk 1 of my all time fave songs from sub society. the not so new h-street video just isn't doing the trick for me :(
Fresh sidewalks were poured at the corner of my street in 1991. I carved the H street arrows on one whole block. Still there today!
I’m 17 and just watch lots of 80s skate vids and I can’t believe I didn’t think of that yet.
@@bigd1979 watch all the old Powell Peralta videos. Ban This is great!
