    Nice splitter. I made me a 3 point hitch splitter last year. It serves my purpose well. Keep up the good work, and I always look forward to you videos.

    Great demonstration Jake👍 Way to go on improvising with the rubber band. Seems like that three-point tractor mounted splitter needs a removable work table to make it 💯%

      It has a removable table as an available option! It works well, working on a Pto pump hookup so it can be used on tractors without rear remotes!

    It's really cool that they came out to visit you. I do wonder about using the tractor motor over a more disposable motor to split wood.

      It sure is Driftless! They are great guys, and yeah not sure how I feel about running the diesel motor over the gas. A fuel consumption comparison video might be in store for the future!

    I had one of those on my Kioti… worked great but I really didn’t like to put hours on the tractor running a splitter

      I feel the same way, although the tractor motors are designed to run for countless hours I’d be curious to see what the cost break down would be of running the diesel motor compared to a gas as far as fuel consumption.

    Cool video, I'd so buy a 3 point splitter like that if it came with a log tray to catch the splits, adjustable leg to under the 4 way to take the weight off the 3 point and log lift.

      A log tray is available for the unit! I have one sitting in my garage just haven’t put it on yet!

    Is this something you would buy yourself for personal/small firewood business? I have a power beyond port on my JD and i can’t see spending $4-9 grand on a log splitter.

      Hey Fred, honestly I need some more time using the splitter to give an honest opinion. I’ve only used it once so far due to the fact that I haven’t gotten the proper pump and aux. hydraulic tank to run the splitter on my tractor.
      That being said, if you don’t mind running your tractor to split wood, it seems like a great well built machine for the person who occasionally splits wood. Anything more than that I think you’d be more productive with one of RuggedMade’s larger/faster units!

    Looks way too slow.

  • @hhazelhoff1363
    @hhazelhoff1363 ปีที่แล้ว

    My 10 year old daughter could split the logs much faster than that machine, it’s kind of useless considering you can buy a gas powered on you drag behind for less money.

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah this wasn’t shown being operated as intended. It’s also not the machine if you’re looking for speed.
