So... The studio version was layered and mixed (as all studio recordings are), and many of the reviews were stating that the "dual voice" (lows and highs at the same time) were layered over. Maybe some were, but this clearly shows Will can pull it off live. I'm 55 years old, and am not into Deathcore really. This band is AMAZINGLY talented, and Will, from what little of this genre I've heard, is on a different level. I've listened to this song probably 100+ times since being turned onto it by Elizabeth on the Charismatic Voice channel. I haven't been this obsessed with a song since the MTV 120 Minutes debut of Smells Like Teen Spirit back in 1991. I'm a old fart, but a new fan. Just flat-out incredible talents...
Some layering was definitely done in the original track, but everyone does it and it's not a bad thing at all. Most importantly, he can clearly pull it off live
If you enjoy this check out the band Shadow of Intent. Equally skilled musicians and their vocalist is just as talented as Will is. The Return and The Heretic Prevails are good songs to start with.
This kid grew up a town over from me. He was crazy good like 8 years ago at the local shows. He’s definitely one of the best metal vocalists I’ve ever heard.
Will Ramos has a very good guttural range and clearly next level control. He's very humble about his ability as well. Deathcore and Metalcore (if we're splitting hairs) is getting more and more mainstream. Also, I love how vocal ability has evolved in the last 30 years. It's been awesome to witness and very curious to see where it goes from here.
Seems that Deathcore is growing way better than Metalcore in these last 1-2 years. I miss listen something different from Metalcore, like Lorna Shore, Shadow Of Intent, Brand Of Sacrifice and Slaughter to Prevail are doing.
I think this is technically just Extreme metal because it isn’t quite deathcore and there’s no clean vocals like in metal core. Either way i love it and i’m glad it’s happening and i’m glad Will is here to lead this
Vocalist reminds me of Tim Lambesis in that he's not fucking lazy...he hits his notes as best as he can every time and doesn't give up mid phrase like many metal vocalists. So badass.
When I seen As I lay dying, they were my fav and who ever mixed them that night was the WORST. I couldnt tell what songs were playing, and again they were my fav. It sounded sooo bad, everything did...such a bummer
I first saw them back in 2018 or 19 summer slaughter I knew who they were but never really listen to them I walked in to see Cj doing one of the breakdowns of this is hell it was amazed about how fucking awesome it was after that they become one of the bands where is there any within 4 to 5 hours I'm going to see I drove to Rochester by myself 1.5 hour drive 1 way to see them live in 2019 I have it is it in my channel this one me and my buddy drove five hours to see technically it was 10 hours is five hours both ways and it was very well worth it will Ramos is a fucking beast in the whole band is super tight and they're super nice guys I talked all of them to pictures the really care about there fans

This is the one true complaint I have about this genre. I am a drummer and it seems like the soul has been sucked out of the drums in a vast majority of bands. Drums have become nothing but a soulless machine, with the only goal being speed. I love blastbeats but in moderation. At times I like to hear the drums(snare) punch through the music like the song is being stabbed to death. We need a drum breakthrough in Deathcore and Metalcore. The machine-gunning is getting old.

Like someond said, Austin was pounding and keeping the song going while FIXING a plug in issue (you can hear the bass drum sound louder once they got the cord set up) and Will hit his screams on point, Adam hit his solo on point....just all around 👏👏👏👏 hell yes.

I think better idea was to stop playing at the moment and fix the trigger in 6 sec than try to fix it with one hand in 1 sec breaks without result

@@WFDrummer I'm surprised someone else wasn't on it trying to locate the issue sooner. Even if they don't have any techs for these shows going 2 and a half min without someone from the sound board or the venue investigating is kinda ridiculous.
This sold me on definitely going to a live show at some point. These dudes are INSANE at their instruments/vocals and take the time to perfect their craft. Like someond said, Austin was pounding and keeping the song going while FIXING a plug in issue (you can hear the bass drum sound louder once they got the cord set up) and Will hit his screams on point, Adam hit his solo on point....just all around 👏👏👏👏 hell yes.
Man Will is fucking crazy but let's not forget the insane drummer and the beast guitarist and bassist bro whole band is crazy
