- Mohan (Anoop Kumar), Pradeep (Jawahar Kaul) and Ranjeet (Daljeet) are three struggling and unemployed artistes, who share the same rooming house. Mohan is a singer; Pradeep paints; while Ranjeet is an writer. Three young women, Rekha (Anita Guha), Geeta (Ameeta), and Kalpana (Shubha Khote) are friends, and of marriageable age. While Rekha wants to marry a painter, Geeta wants to marry a singer, and Kalpana a writer. Things don't quite work out that way, and Kalpana is paired with Mohan; while Rekha is paired with Ranjeet and Geeta falls in love with Pradeep. The three male friends decide to help each other out by using their talents, but when love is involved nothing is simple and hilarious events follow suit.

Actually Rajinder Krishan was more than anybody else. Madan Mohan was equally king of Ghazal music. Very deep indeed. Actually, their time could not appreciate them fully.
Looks of the heroine (Shobha Khote) are quite angrish, yet lovely. Perhaps because, his hero was not equally attractive.

Sanober Malhotra ji, Bilkul sahi. Ek doosre se mil nahi sakte, kyun ki dono ke beech me deewaar khadi kar di jaati hai. Ye deewar kabhi chandi ki bani hoti hai( amir- garib), toh kabhi nafrat ki ( dharm, jaati, oonch, neech) ya phir galat fehmi ki deewar.
Waqt guzar jaata hai, sab chale jaatein hain, kab dard-e- jigar jaata hai.
Saalon baad jab kismat se bichde hue milte hain, tab bahut der ho chuki hoti hai. Mere uncle( door ke rishtedaar) ke saath aisa hi kuch hua. Ek doosre ke khilaf anap shanap kahaniyan gadhi gayi aur dono ko ek doosre se alag kar diya gaya. Asli wajah toh jaati ki deewar thi. Un dono ne apne jeevan ke aakhri pal tak shadi nahi ki. Ab wo dono is duniya me nahi rahe. Kasurwar papiyon ko ab pachtava ho raha hai. Lekin kya faayda.
Talat sahab ke gaaye " Meri yaad me tumna aansoo bahana, na jee ko jalana, mujhe bhool jaana " me aise hi kuch bhavnayein hain. Jab kabhi us gaane ko sunta hun, toh meri aankhein nam ho jaati hai.
