@The Davis Diaries This was an excellent video. Honest and straightforward. I had a question for you. Im doing single person interviews, would this 2 light set be suitable for that. I bought an Amaran P60c and it just seems way too powerful. Also, can you buy another mounting yoke, since you weren’t happy with the one which comes with light? Thanks in advance. Mitch

Hey Mitch! The one concern I have for the lights is that it is a bit harsh on it’s own, so it would be best to diffuse it a bit. I think in that situation it would look really nice. In my video, I did not diffuse it at all. You could put a few layers in front of the P60c if it is too powerful, and I imagine you would get some beautiful light. I just don’t have any experience with it specifically.
You should be able to change the mounting yoke. I haven’t taken it off for a while, but I believe it is a standard thread. I’ve just ended up making sure the axes are perpendicular to each other so the light doesn’t try to bend forward, and that seems to do the job.
When the stand is fully extended, it does not feel very stable, so it may be best to keep it low and set it on a table, or just make sure you aren’t in an outdoor environment with wind.

@@thedavisdiaries3480 Thanks so much for getting back to me! Yes, that’s a good point about adding some diffusion paper. Lume cube makes you feel that it’s internal diffusion is so good that external diffusion is not necessary. I appreciate your info about the yoke and stand. Take care. Mitch

@@mitchellglick8737 I just got a kit yesterday.... I think they changed the mounts.... mine doesn't have the option to bend in the manner he found issue with. You can also use a weight to steady the stand, if you're concerned about it tipping over... just a suggestion

Great review. Would love to see a video if you used it for a photoshoot (indoors, outdoors etc).

I haven’t had the chance to get out much since I made this video since I’m swamped at my full time job, but I will take note! Thanks for the input 😁
