Several years ago while on a training course in Heidelberg, I had an opportunity to visit the museum in Spier and I cannot describe this is truly a phenomenal place to visit. Sadly I am getting on in age and will only have fond memories and photos to remind myself I was there! Thank you for the clips of some of the vintage piston pounders taking off👍
Leider werde ich alt ... wem sagst du dass 🙈 ich werde jetzt 58 und bin Motorrad Fahrer , meine Knie werden schnell kalt usw. Aber lass es uns genießen, so gut es nur geht ☝😉👍
Nothing has more beautiful music than the sounds of piston engines on a vintage aircraft. The B-25 starting at about 1:10 brings tears to my eyes with those growling engines. I could listen to that all day.
I live rather close to Salzburg, Austria, home of the Red Bull Hangar. A while ago, I was on a little hike, thinking of nothing in particular, when I heard a plane. My jaw dropped when I looked up and saw A Mustang, A Corsair, a Lightning (must have been the one at 1:36) and some jet I didn't recognize fly in formation right over me.
My first ever flight was at the age of 5, in a Rapide, back in 1954. Can't remember too much about it unfortunately apart from the miracle of seeing what things looked like from a couple of thousand feet. However, in more recent years, I've been privileged to have had three flights in a Dove and what a serene aircraft it is. It's so gentle in it's behaviour.
Ich war Mal mit dem Schneewittchensarg beim Oldtimer Frühschoppen und Benzingespräch im Museum und dann flog auf einmal die dc3 mit 2 Jägern über uns das war ein schöner Tag
The Catalina in this video is based in the UK, but it´s a Canadien built plane. The take off was filmed in Gelnhausen, Germany, where she was a guest at the Flugplatzkerb-Airshow.
Can anyone tell me what the Bi-plane is about half way through the video please? I know I should probably be able to get it figured out on my own, but still struggling with it darn it anyway ! Great video ! Thanks !
I got the information from the website of the operator of this aircraft: "G-PBYA was originally ordered for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Canso A amphibian, basically equivalent to the US Navy PBY-5A."

2017 war mal die Schweizer "Classic Formation" in Speyer, eine Dc-3 mit zwei Beech 18 in Formation. Vieleicht waren das die?
@@705547 ganz Recht!
Wieder mal ein geiles Video😎
Sound 😎 Danke dir 👍
Always loved the Aero 145, I wonder if any are still flying?
Yep.
What I've often wondered is what level of load is put on the engines when the undercarriage is raised.
YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT'S B--25!!! WE STAY MUCH CRAZY!!!
sadly the AT11 not officially a war bird. A modified Beech' for practice bombing with sand bags, Was fitted with two MGs if req' for AG training.
Did the Catalina really fly from Hamilton ON Canada to Speyer Germany?

Thanks! There is one just like it near me! Now it all makes sense! Cheers!
Nice thing about the Catina pilots.......they can make it all the way home......if they do not need to peee in the next 8 hours.
On the dragon rapide top wing is that a small generator with a prop on it?
Can anyone tell me what the
Bi-plane is about half way through the video please?

Thank you so much for getting back to me with that !
Not much I couldn't identify aside from that one !
Have a good evening !
If G-PBY is a Canso, then the correct US Navy Designation would be PBV-1, not PBY-5A.

Lasinov.....Lasminov....Wth!.LASMINOV. MY BACKSIDE..Commy dc_3!!

Thanks for watching my video 😎👍
No Me-110's, alas.
I think there was no airwothy Bf110 since the end of WW2. Would love to see one.
Really do not like announcers at airshows. They got to go.
Yeah, but on most airshows it is impossible to find a place where you cant here the announcer and music. I try my best ..
