I lived with Baker for 4 years.
Biggest jerk l ever met.
Also smartest, funniest guy I ever knew.
I love him like a brother.
Can we get a re-upload that didn’t get shot on a flip phone beamed up to a Russian satellite then recorded off a UHF TV station on VHS on EP/SLP Mode at 4am after Joe Bob Briggs is signing off.
@Ayden Gage are you for fucking real?
Um what
😂
I felt like I was watching a segment from an episode of USA Up All Night with Gilbert Godfried. I was wondering when a commercial for a 900 number or Night Flight was gonna pop up in the middle of the interview.
no, not punk enough
"I'm not going to shill for anyone" after he mentions the key to his playing GIBSON LES PAUL STANDARD 🤣🤣🤣.
Whoever told Brian to slick his hair back deserves a goddamn medal.
His wife, and no more peroxide.
I prefer it like this. He just looks like another old dude these days.
Brian is hilarious
i like how he almost plays a blink-182 song by accident and immediately switches it up
He was playing his style and they copied it.
this guy is SO great
I hope Brian realizes that open G tuning is basically just drop D for the A string
No, its DGDGBD, sometimes GGDGBD
This was in 2000, New America times.
So he's 55 now if the math is right.
Brian: ...not willing to schill for anyone (sips diet Coke)
Best thumbnail ever
damn he is funny
"How to play like Captain Sensible", by Brian Baker.

Lol
@@TheBilal354 now we know where tom delonge gets his riffs 😂
@@france.the_bastard lol I got here from this th-cam.com/video/7BWB3WQPivM/w-d-xo.html
@@TheBilal354 lmaooooooo perfect
I'd say that riff was more Adams song than WMAA
(and yeah, Delonge has said in interviews that Baker's playing has been an influence)
10 years ago damn
20
@@tobiascore no I ment when the video was uploaded
I’m pretty sure Brian plays Ernieball slinkys
When he said he tapes the logo for the guitar , I felt that. Recently I've been wanting to sand off the rest of my logo for my squier And tape the logo for my new strat just cause I started working at fender and I've seen how they take advantage of their workers and don't pay them enough, I will play their instruments all day but I wouldn't want to represent them because these companies are greedy and they should focus less about the money and more about the music
Nice guitar 🔥😍
Best part of video "I like happier tunings more than methamphetamine based tunings, it's really just not my thing" sorry Korn Fans lololololololololololololol so dang funny....
Play authentic
i come here because of tom delonge
And you left because of aliens 👽
Isn't a bar chord played on 3 strings now a power chord? You don't even have to bar, just play the root note. Weird way to explain it.
He's thirty-five? I think that was a joke! When was this made?
2000 ish , The New America had just come out.
I love bad religion but brain comes across a bit smug here. He seems a lot cooler in more recent interviews. As far as drop D and alternate tunings, I think he was a bit too dismissive. Granted I also don’t like bands like Korn but I do really like QOTSA and they use a lot of alternate tunings. It can just make things sound really heavy and cool. Also, as a punk guitar player it’s never really too cool to make fun of other styles as being too easy! So it’s fine to do power chords with 2 fingers but god forbid you could create some cool sounds using one finger. A bit petty
I agree, but a long time has passed since and it looks like he's matured a lot. If you see him on the Bad Religion Rig Rundown he sounds way more humble and cool.
@@linksayajin2958 yea I agree. I actually watched this after watching many more recent interviews with him where he seemed much more humble, cool, and down to earth.
HAHAHAHA, im not a math major......
Is Brian rich? I hope so.
Hes comfortable. I go to his house for new years every year. Its very nice.
I think he made good money with Bad Religion
😂
there's no way they had 15 albums and he's only in his thirties, true north was the 16th and it came out in 2013
either he was lying about his age or Mr Baker didn't know how many albums they had
If he's 35 here, that means this is from 2000. Which makes sense, since you can hear all the New America songs playing between the segments. New America is their 11th studio album, but Brian might've included EPs and Live Albums (which make a total of 16 at that time).
@@mick6915 most musicians include everything for albums and not just LPs
Punk Rock Bill Gates
He really is the least interesting person to interview - and he knows it.
the fuck are you talking about?
He seems way cooler nowadays.
@@slashtriois The Best Bad Religion's guitarist ever.
