What makes the pagan gods true over any other religion tho

    • @TheDutchGame
      @TheDutchGame 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ghengiskhan9308 glad you asked!
"X religion is more true than Y religion" doesn't seem to be a common sentiment among Pagans in my experience. We tend to have some level of pluralism built into our mindset probably due to our polytheistic beliefs.
For example one might worship Zeus and another might worship Thor. Both as an emblem of strength, positive masculinity and of thunder. We may be inspired by different gods but what they mean to us seems to be very similar. This different yet similar observation is deeply enriching celebrating both similarity and diversity.
As far as I have experienced it seems that only Christianity and Islam posit themselves as more true than other religions. Overtly converting as many people as possible ruining much cultural and spiritual diversity in the process. This may be a religious tendency coming over from Second Temple Judaism whereby the Yahwists doubled down on monotheism after the Babylonian Exile. Asserting THEIR way over others, with very few legitimate justifications for it in my opinion.
So, there you have a little explanation of it all. Monotheists tend to posit their spirituality as more true than others, especially Abrahamic faiths.
And in my opinion? All gods are sort of true. I'm still working on a more useful understanding of the divine so I haven't even scratched the surface yet but I hope it was a little enlightening for you. :)

@@ghengiskhan9308 Nothing can be further from the truth. If Christianity was still ruling Europe, his head would have been removed from his neck. Go look it up -- apostasy was a thing back in the day, just like in Islam today. Without the threat of capital punishment, people pull away from abrahamic ideologies. It was the separation of church and state and the return to the ideals of democracy, free speech and free association from ancient Greece and Rome during the Enlightenment era that has given European people the right to worship their own TRUE European gods, not a fake storybook character called 'Jesus Christ' created by the Council of Niceae in 4th century Rome.

Great for Europeans to take back their ancestors belief. I am from Japan and we still have our ancestors belief so we can feel the connection to them of tens of thousands of years ago. When the Christian missionaries came from Portugal to Japan and preached, the Japanese peasants asked if their ancestors can go to heaven as well if they get Christianized and the missionaries said no they can't. Then the Japanese peasants replied they don't wanna go to heaven alone without their ancestors. So the rumor in the Japanese Internet has it that the missionaries made the only-Japan rule which allowed the pagan ancestors of the Christianized can go to heaven. I don't know if this rumor is true or not but this thing tells how difficult it was to Christianize the Japanese back then.

I started it like a year ago or so.
    Just felt like doing it.
My living room is my altar where i pray to the old gods.
I made a few artworks in their honor to better connect myself to them.
They help and they respond to prayers.
If they didnt help i wouldnt waste my time with them.

I am guessing the loss of many rights, like women losing control.over reproductive rights in states after nearly 50 years has something to do with a rejection of the staunch patriarchal religions that often discount women.

I appreciate your video. I think abrahamic religions in general dont fit the european true spirit. It has made ppl numb and dull like zombies. And Islam has ruined my ancestors, the Berber. It has brought out the worst in Northafrican culture. Unfortunately most have forgotten our ancient pagan roots, which were ancient egyptian in the east. To the west we always had strong ties to germanic (vandals i.e) and celtic culture, but noone remembers 😢. I was born in Germany by a algerian woman. I left Islam as a kid already. It was fate that I was born here and my mission is to contribute to the revival of norse heathenry❤. Im a full hearted heathen and only then I started feeling really happy and content. I always felt like im an ancient soul and when the heathen allfather appeared to me one night, it was set. Its an experience I will never forget! That night, my spirit animal was shown to me as well, which is the red kite, or Rotmilan in german. Unfortunately in my area i never meet heathens. My point wasent really about that they're assholes and won't come down to save their people but they won't come down to save them because they're simply not real if they were they would maybe show themselves like Jesus did or stop their religion and traditions getting wiped out.

This is basically just trying to say that the norse gods are our one ”true” religion. It’s not that simple. In my culture (I am nordic) we didn’t have any gods, just spirits and aspects of nature. I feel close to that but it is not rooted in humans, our ancestors loved nature, they weren’t as smart as humans are now, so they tried believing in something. Just like Christianity, europe doesn’t need paganism, especially considering how many different pagan religions europe has had, and how many religious wars it sprung... This video is pretty much just religious mumbling, despite you thinking you’re somehow in the right because you believe in old norse gods

I did not intend to state that paganism is better then christianity…
Well, it is for me but i have no desire to force paganism onto people
Thats not what paganism is about.
I agree that the: make europe pagan
Sounds like i want to do that.
But it is simply a bold statement
      I like bold statements.
Also christ & islam are good for some people
      Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks.
This video is maily here to say:
200 years ago we couldent have a pagan community for obvious reasons…
I believe 200 years in the future it will be the same
So now we have this oppertunity to create an alternative for the people of europe.
And in doing so, it will revitalize the people
      That is what i believe.
That is not what i think everybody should believe…

@@dutchpagans You REALLY need to work on how you present things then. Because this video does come off as ”Paganism good every other religious belief bad”. I think the focus on saying europe specifically isn’t the best either, since especially old norse beliefs nowdays are pretty heavily used by white supremacists aswell (Example, warriors of odin) so yeah, wether or not you like bold statements, it’s good to consider how other people will be viewing your statements, or opinions? whatever they are

@@36vekhs You are clearly misinformed about the nature of our ancestral religion - whether it is hellenist for the greeks, nordic for the scandinavians, or baltic, celtic, slavic, germanic, etc...the myths are the same. They tell the same stories. And when we can apply the tool of philosophy and proper understanding to them, we reach the same theology. With my respect but you can't force a religion on people just because they were pagan of course you are free to invite people to your way but its not right to say thats the only way yes Europe needs a religion but why cant it be islam or bhudism for example just because its a "forign" religion and by your opinion some one in brazil or something can't be pagan because that religion is forign to him? The same religion you think is the right one... If brazil can be pagan why cant Europe be hindus for example??

I myzelf have been a hindu for 3 years.

The european ppl were forced into Christianity (catholic) in the early centuries, you had to be baptised or otherwise you were a heathen and burned , there was no choice, I was raised free but I was in Christian ( Protestant) schools and it was very fine, ppl were very nice, no comment on that, the teachers also were good ppl, than when I was 21 and I lived in a little town in the French Alpes ( Barcelonnette) and there was a Maria Magdalena celebration in the open air , lead by a wonderful kind Priest, and we became friends, he baptised me because I felt I wanted to belong to something back than, I have discussed a lot with him about the bible and all the things I was not happy about and what was in my opinion not good at all, he was very open minded and modern to that, now I am 57, 7 years ago I lost my oldest daughter suddenly, she died of a
cerebral infarction, and I was lost , I’ve found strength in nature, in meditation, i don’t believe in “God’s” , but I do believe there is something more to this life, I believe in reincarnation, I believe in spiritual beings, call me crazy, i don’t care, what I want to say is every individual should have the right to believe their truth, and nobody should convince another, talk about it, talk with each other, respect and accept each other.

I used to be anti-theistic like you, then some spiritual shit happened that I couldnt explain. Immediately knew it was odin. Prayed to him afterwards, seemed like I got a response. Kept praying, kept getting responses. Started divinating runes, they've told the truth every time I've done it. Even predicted my ex fiance leaving me and the death of my unborn daughter. Did dmt, and I saw them clear as day, even saw what the human soul is; the electro-magnetic pattern that flows between each and every nerve ending from the squishy think meat in your skull to the tips of your toes. Can't scientifically explain how this shit works cuz idk the scientific mechanisms behind it. Could be quantum entaglement type shit. The gods don't exist absent from the rules of reality and physics; quite the opposite. They exist fully within them, which is how they are able to use them like we've been able to use electricity and radioactive wavelengths beamed across the world to communicate like we are now. The gods've been around for billions of years, so they can do shit that still seems like magic to us.
