There is. In one of blueberries' post here in youtube, homunculi will be getting a "significant" boost in both damage and survivability. Most likely because Mado is so OP.

Not sure, but I think phase 2 includes the previously mentioned louyang updates thats not implemented yet:
- new advanced runes
- expanded runes inlay (max 6 runes)
- cat npc leveling and skills
- louyang pet adv
- new pets
