I doubt it. In the games they were losing early, Fakers roams were crucial to equalize the kill status. And his Taliyah was insane u saw him getting 3 manned and he used the knockup where he predicted they would flash and it worked, just incredible, it looks insignificant but really it was so good. IMO Faker MVP this series hands down.
Faker fangirls are the worse he did nothing the last two games. Game 5 was all Huni with the spilt pushing and blank with the elder steal. Game 4 was wolf blocking all the damage on the turret dive. If SKT plays like this and they gave SSG they will get slept.
They won as a team. Did you even watch the games? Its not just Faker. SKT has an amazing synergy together. In games like this its impossible to carry alone. Just look at all the 3v1, 2v1, 4v1. The better team play wins.

alphamale1 for sure. Once I had seen them perform their miracle against FNC, I was more than willing to place them as my #1 EU team for worlds. They did not disappoint. This could definitely also be China's year to steal the championship imo.
I wish more teams would pick these off meta champs like MSF do. I think a lot of people don't realize that usually the meta shifts with champs getting nerfed and people find out "of this other champ is pretty good right now".
SKT this year is a bit weak, they lost both the strongest jungler who had the best synergy with faker (Bengi) and a tank top laner, we all know huni doesnt play tanks that well
Beyond game 4, this match was decided literally by 0.2 sec. That drake steal was the key, and Blank could do that, even being 1 level behind Maxlore. Drake was on 1067 at 9:22 and Maxlore's smite deals 850 dmg (against 800 from j4 smite), so he just need to deal 217 damage to secure it. He had stacked the E's passive on drake, which means he can deals 850 (smite)+120 (E's active base dmg) + ~58 (E's Scaling dmg with 194 AP ) + ~78 (passive jungle item at lv15) = 1106. So, Blank won smite fight just for luck... maxlore calculated well, but for execute that ammount of dmg you need 0.2 sec, and in that lapse Blank smited...

This just goes to show you NA and EU need to stop trying to our Korean meta vs Koreans and just play there own game and force the Koreans to do something different. Blitz and Leona are so uncommon with Arden rush on almost all supports you can see it threw SKT off guard and the hook on Faker was so great watching the struggle/tilt in his emotion. Hopefully Cloud9 takes something from this instead of trying to our Korean the Koreans at there own game.
How crazy is it that a team came from challenger, did so well in LCS, qualified for worlds, made it to the quarterfinals and took SKT to such an amazing 5-game series in the span of a SINGLE YEAR?? Im also pretty sure it was the first time any of these players were at Worlds. Im definitely gonna be rooting for them from now on, I seriously think this squad has the potential to win Worlds if they keep up this amazing work.
Game 2/3 for SKT was questionable in terms of their macro and decisions while MSF in Game 4 were leading and got behind in that base dive at 27min. Felt like SKT were exposed, gotta see how they do vs RNG though
I knew it was over when Shen wasted his TP + Ult in a bait near baron and then Jayce got his TP back. That way, either MSF would give baron to SKT and kill jayce, or risk baron and jayce would join the fight or push to the inib...it was a hard decision. Jayce advantage over Shen won SKT the game...then that Elder call was very poor and out of desperation I think but still, massive respect for misfits. For 2 games, they almost had the series. Anyone else feels like the Karma/Sivir picks were a mistake? Short range adc with a low dmg mid laner. 27 minutes in they just didnt do ANY dmg in teamfights anymore. Even if they had taken that inhibitor i dont see how they couldve made it to late game. Imo they needed kog or trist or a mid laner with a lot of damage if they really wanted Sivir.
So close MSF! You havent won against SKT, but you have demonstrated, not only Europe, but the WHOLE world what Misfits is able to do against their biggedt enemies.
I mean, it all came down to a 50/50 smite. If misfit had gotten that elder, with their 3 fire drakes that could have turned that fight around. Then again SKT might have been able to pull out and stall some more, but 3 fire drake elder is pretty hard to stop.

This just goes to show you NA and EU need to stop trying to our Korean meta vs Koreans and just play there own game and force the Koreans to do something different.
Blitz and Leona are so uncommon with Arden rush on almost all supports you can see it threw SKT off guard and the hook on Faker was so great watching the struggle/tilt in his emotion.
Hopefully Cloud9 takes something from this instead of trying to our Korean the Koreans at there own game.
At game 5, if MSF were able to secure drag, they would've won. WP on both teams, proud of MSF
How crazy is it that a team came from challenger, did so well in LCS, qualified for worlds, made it to the quarterfinals and took SKT to such an amazing 5-game series in the span of a SINGLE YEAR?? Im also pretty sure it was the first time any of these players were at Worlds. Im definitely gonna be rooting for them from now on, I seriously think this squad has the potential to win Worlds if they keep up this amazing work.

Game 2/3 for SKT was questionable in terms of their macro and decisions while MSF in Game 4 were leading and got behind in that base dive at 27min. Felt like SKT were exposed, gotta see how they do vs RNG though

I knew it was over when Shen wasted his TP + Ult in a bait near baron and then Jayce got his TP back. That way, either MSF would give baron to SKT and kill jayce, or risk baron and jayce would join the fight or push to the inib...it was a hard decision. Jayce advantage over Shen won SKT the game...then that Elder call was very poor and out of desperation I think but still, massive respect for misfits. For 2 games, they almost had the series. You made EU proud! Honor to you all :)
Its not a close series lmao its a mockery when skt can just decide to say “ok we need to win every game now” they legit do this all the time. Only the top tier teams can punish that in a best of 5

Anyone else feels like the Karma/Sivir picks were a mistake? Short range adc with a low dmg mid laner. 27 minutes in they just didnt do ANY dmg in teamfights anymore. Even if they had taken that inhibitor i dont see how they couldve made it to late game. Imo they needed kog or trist or a mid laner with a lot of damage if they really wanted Sivir.

I mean, it all came down to a 50/50 smite. If misfit had gotten that elder, with their 3 fire drakes that could have turned that fight around. Then again SKT might have been able to pull out and stall some more, but 3 fire drake elder is pretty hard to stop.
