Great story, but fantastic story-telling! Subbed. This has been an amazing watch, can we expect any other poker documentaries similar to this in the future?
This video does not have enough views. Great job great editing. I’ll be looking out for more. Also always thought tournament players where tigger players 🤷♂️😂
I live the old saying: “poker is a hard way to make an easy living”. I’d say go for both, the love and the money. I’m in it for both. Been a dream since I was a teen.
Update, I’ve slowly grinded it up in the micros. I started in micro sngs and grinded up through 3 stakes with a 20% ROI over 650 games. Took that money out and switched to cash. And it’s going well. The dream is in the early stages. I hope to play full time in the next couple years.
This shit made me cry lol. I got into it late 2004. I’ve been in Las Vegas for 5 years now and kinda turned my back on why I came out here. And while I don’t wanna be the best at the game, I do wanna be a world champion one day. I got into it for the sustainability, the extra source of income it brought into my life and the therapy it can bring into ones life. Like teaching you discipline in the form of patience, observance, maintaining mental maturity. Last summer was difficult. My wsop BR went to bad habits, stopped coaching, therapy and training. But I had money. A recipe for disaster at times. Lol. You can tell by my comment I’m lonely in this fact that I want to speak out about what this shit means to me..

WOW what a cooler with top set there. That's ridiculous. But I agree that shove is tough there because you are only getting called by other sets with such a dry ass board. I guess he could have 4s or 3s there. Either way he was going to shove on you and I dont see you folding 2nd nuts there
@@royston7579 how so? Online you can have 5 players on same table sharing card info via screen share, video chat, etc. Imagine knowing 10 cards your opponent couldn't have. How can poker sites possibly stop players from colluding when everyone is logged in through different IP?
@@liutasllc6338 this works with 6 plus but with normal holdem i doubt you can even beat the rake with 5 vs 1. and if you think there is no cheating with live poker in private games you are just dumb
@@royston7579 many sites have trouble dealing with obvious bots. How are they going to prove someone is cheating when colluding players use different computers and different internet providers? Guess you haven't heard about poker farms in third world countries where dozens of players live in same place and pool resources and split winnings. Bigger cash games cheating is a given. But even in tourneys players chip dump to each other and once students get deep in tourneys they have their pro teachers take over to go for big $. I play online tourneys and do pretty good. About gambling.... While the definition seems to be a bit subjective, we tend to think of gamblers as degenerates who are doomed to lose. But that is an image issue and not at all correct in all cases. For many, myself included, gambling for a living has far LESS risk than a regular job. When you handle your business correctly, you risk of going broke is at or below 0.1%. The only real problem I face now if finding good plays. I have found a few plays that were too big for my bankroll. I had to leave them alone. This is, however, rare, because I have built up over the course of 20 years, a bankroll that can make some pretty large bets and be in no danger. Few day jobs and few investments offer that level of safety. For those who truly tow the line when it comes to being sure they have an edge and sticking to stakes that fit their bankroll, gambling is still gambling, but in a very real sense, it is just investing, In fact, investing in a stock is FAR more of a gamble than gambling.
@@PeeVeeSFM Ah.... The "more productive" argument. Are you more productive if you work for the government? a restaurant? serve in the military? Most of us are wage slaves. The benefit of that work goes to someone else and funnels taxes to a government who does not represent us. And even if these are more productive by your definition, so what? I owe the universe exactly what it owes me....nothing. I support myself and my wife and have a good life. That is better than many.
