    The concept of someone wanting to touch my private parts, but his payslip & bank statements are too “private” for me to see…. Is something I will never ever ever understand….
    If you’re unable to show me your payslip, and your bank statements, and your credit score & history…. we are not making it to the altar…. 😭😭😭

    Last story, I’m taking my R3000. But as a principle I don’t lend friends or family money. I generally feel very disrespected when someone doesn’t repay me. So I’d rather not open myself to that.

      I have a friend who has a tendency to ask me to pay when we out like at restaurants in the name of " i'll pay you my portion when i get home or the card i have doesn't have enough cash". I never get it back. Imagine you plan to pay about R300-R400 but you end up with a R900 bill, it is starting to affect me

    I’m not married but my policy has always been, let’s pick the lowest earner and we live according to what they can afford should the relationship not work. I’m not extravagant, I’ll live at half the lifestyle I’m accustomed to if we love each other. However if she makes it big, and she wants to live it up I won’t stand in her way. As long as she doesn’t try to inflate my lifestyle because I’m a cheapskate and I love my 3 day work weeks twice a month😎

    I do not understand how you can not know your partners income, like how on earth do you you make financial decisions. Like where you buy groceries, where you send your kids to school, which cars you buy, where you live!?!? This is how people spouses pass on and you find out that no everything is just debt and you end up homeless. Like does that person even have life cover, yoh!!!!

    I am keeping all the money. The difference is considered interest and lesson to be learned. The payslip part, I am not married or in any relationship but my policy is that all of us must contribute 80% of our salaries including bonuses into family fund which that money will be used to fund any family expenditure either be school fees, grocery or any investment opportunity we deem appropriate for the benefit of the family. Also, every two years we must show each other our payslips and advice each other on how we can improve our income prospects.

    The prerequisite to anything that is jointly must emanate from an individual's solo experiences. A part of me feels like people must have financial structures which they bring into the marriage/ partnership, from their single and early dating stages. When the serious conversations transpire, the 2 people should at least set boundaries and share ideas of how money will be spent/ invested from a percentage point of view, based on how they used to allocate their monies for themselves. In a sense that they can be open and honest as well account for overspending. Women love money that's a fact but I think it's only fair that they know their spending limits even in the midst of their bad spending habits.

    Finances in partnership & marriage are important. I personally feel before you even get to living together or getting they should be discussed enough to g8be comfort on the expectations, future goals and lifestyle. You need to know if your partner is a saver or a spender their financial downfall e.g. online shopping...gambling...excessive drinking.
    Last question I'd keep the whole R5000 for the pain and suffering you put me through having to run after you the whole year begging you to keep your word and also to teach you a lesson that if you donpay in time there's always interest charged. I feel this person was never a friend to begin with they just there for benefits you just didn't know it

    • @nokuhlekumalo
      @nokuhlekumalo  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      😅😅😅 I don’t think so: for example when I did articles salaries across the different firms varied (slightly) BUT those doing articles at a bank had salaries way different to ours.
      Another example is if someone is a financial manager as a small entity / start-up, they would potentially make a fraction of what a financial manager at a Top 40 JSE-listed entity.
      so it’s sometimes hard to ‘estimate’ (I think) 😅🤧.
